Stupid decision by whoever made it that an inexperienced loanee from Man City would be an appropriate back up to Larin for a team trying for autos. Re Dobbin, clearly it wasn’t part of the plan for him to be ahead of Mubama in the pecking order, he was an alternate for Azaz/Leo.

Yes, but it only becomes awkward if those players include Azaz and/or Manning and we have no reason to think either is vocal on this issue.

I don’t at all. They’ve won countless trophies and been able to enjoy world class players for years. They’ve also, regardless of what happens in terms of sanctions, been elevated to elite club status at the expense of other clubs with wealthy owners who have not been able to inject money without being sanctioned for rule breaches (Newcastle, Villa to name a couple).

Don’t think this is really relevant in a Saints context tbh…any decision to boycott or not play will be taken on a collective basis and involve levels in the Irish FA above the heads of two individual players.

To be honest, if he gets a meaningful ban I hope we move on relatively quickly and get a new manager, none of this appeal stuff that leaves us in further limbo. If Tonda gets the book thrown at him, after everything that’s happened I can’t see an appeal being successful. It’s completely ridiculous it’s come to this, given the relative lack of outrage at what Bielsa did, but it’s imperative we at least make the playoffs and have a chance of going up. We won’t do that if we have interim coaches in charge and uncertainty about who may or may not be our manager to the end of the season.

The tone of the conversation on this week’s Total Saints Podcast was incredibly downbeat re the outcome which I found surprising given they have barely mentioned it up to now. I do have the feeling that the club has been given an indication of a harsh outcome.

Nice idea in principle but if he’s banned from all football activities for any length of time we can’t stand by him. We did to at least make the playoffs this season and installing Garner or Lallana for the rest of the season essentially writes the rest of this season off in my view.

Suspect we will be looking for a new manager this week. Hope I am wrong but these “independent panels” that decide our fate appear to be the equivalent of kangaroo courts. The fact the club is on a PR offensive this week doesn’t fill me with hope. The one thing I just can’t understand is how the FA didn’t charge Bielsa. If the FA rule that Tonda is being charged under existed when Bielsa admitted the same conduct then it’s double standards, plain and simple. I hope whatever legal team we’ve got on this are hammering hope that hypocrisy.
