I don’t really get the argument he’s had no service. The ball was played into him multiple times and he was either knocked off the ball or gave it away. Strikers can’t expect to be presented with gilt edged chances every week… Larin had no service either but was significantly more effective despite a poor game. As soon as Mubama came on we had zip going forward as he can’t hold It up.

Agreed. We’ve thrown away points already this season and given -4 we’ve made it really tough for ourselves already. Our business this summer, post Peretz, Bree and Larin signing up, is bizarre. Dobbin looks poor and a waste of resources, Schlotty looks fine but clearly the kind of player with a howler in him, Mubama looks really bad so far, JWP returns to much fanfare but I feel like I’ve gone back in time 5 years, all he does is 5 yard sideways passes…

At least if Prince develops into something we will benefit from it long term, if we manage to turn Mubama or Abbott into anything they’ll fuck off next season anyway.

Not season over but if you can’t put away Lincoln I think it’s fair to question whether we’ve got the quality to push for the promotion. The drop off going forward once Larin and Leo went off was pretty scary. I’ve said it a few times but I genuinely can’t fathom why we spent the majority of our transfer fee cash this summer on Lewis Dobbin..makes absolutely no sense.

So far we look like we did in the real rough patch under Tonda prior to the unbeaten run. It’s massively concerning to be playing like this and still have the potential of the manager being banned.

Someone said earlier that at least he was an upgrade on Downs, after that performance, is he really? He gets pushed off the ball, has a terrible touch, can’t pass. I get he’s young but he looks genuinely awful.

The failure to properly replace Stewart will really screw us this season. To rely on Larin (who, despite claims about better fitness, clearly can’t do much more than 60/70 mins in multiple game weeks) and a youth loan from City is absolute madness if this Club is serious about automatic promotion. 20 mins against Millwall aside, we’ve been awful so far this season.

Quite but the cynic in me can’t help but feel that if this lad was really close to being PL quality, they wouldn’t have all of these guys in front of him and continue to be spending huge sums on players that will push him further down the pecking order.
