  1. how we ended up paying £20m for Carrillo and £18m for Onuachu. 500k is more realistic. We still keep buying players overage odds. It seems to me the expensive a player the less output we get. Someone from the board needs to go a field trip to National League teams and find out how you scout for players and pay affordable prices for them. I bet Coventry, Stoke, Swansea, Bristol City don't have a expensive squad. And are more competitive than us..
  2. How long is he out for
  3. Site says Wednesday 08 October: 09:30 - 2025/26 Season Ticket Holders who attended 10+ away matches across the 24/25 or 25/26 season. (Subject to availability) yesturday had fill list of slots, I was looking to get at 5 aways. So that's 1 700 that have been to 11+ games !!
  4. I've just had a scan and got slight torn ligament in groin , thought was my hernia mesh. No walking football for few weeks so I'm ruled out for Swansea and Bristol City. NHS Winchester very good service. Perhaps Saints need to go there might be quicker !!
  5. I must say the women's football is very entertaining and very reasonable cost. Went to Euro 2022 final and registered a year early, got e mail to order and ticket about £18 ! Also went you FA cup final Man U v Spurs as Saints women had good chance to get there and gambled and got tickets again £24. Last game Wembley was England women v Germany 2024 again under £25. Took my son and his was £12. Great atmosphere, lots families, lots goals and the turnstiles next to use had Pompey womens teams queueing up so us two with out Saints shirts on surrounded by 60 plus Pompey shirts. All aound 80k. I think Euro and WC, FA cup finals and group games will be much better attended. The Euro 2022 games were all sold out at St Mary's as again those who cant afford the mens team games will have good chance to see thier team. Going to Saints women's v Pompey but that's not selling that well. Parking bit steep at £10. Although the Saints v Man U game at Eastleigh sold out. Eastleigh better venue for me as in Eastleigh and Soton a nightmare to get to on train.
  6. I'll be surprised if we get 90 points and win play offs this season and that's with playing a similar style of football for 1st half at least. RM will get another championship team, Sheff Wed, Watford, Derby..
  7. That bloke at Forrest will be free soon, then 2nd season silverware.
  8. He will be a free agent, let's get him back, Martin & Still, sounds like the advert at the cinema in the 70s.
  9. Any chance of Russell returning to us. Combine Martin with Still that's a strong combination. We could average 1,000 plus passes a match. Just imagine how good the side to side passing would be.
  10. Just watched EFL highlights ans half the goal in all leaque and from forwards who get ball delivered to them either high or on deck. Control the ball 1 or 2 touches then back it into the goal. Its not difficult and plenty of competent forwards in the leaques. If we cant get these players then just copy the tactics, goals galour each week.
  11. Just been in Betfred and put £5 on Saints relegation at 250/1. That way if this EA26 robotic football continues all season and we don't get 2 goal scorers in Jan window then I'm covered. The last relegation all the signs were there early on and I didn't bet.
  12. Winchester City top table.
  13. Russell Martin 8/10 as he did us promoted with possession football which is a unbelievable achievement. Will Still 4/10 at this stage. Could be higher but I'm very bored watching this type of football.
  14. attacked at pace and scored a good goal, but then just backed off and barely got out of our own half for the next 20 mins. This is a pattern from last season, I don't understand the tactics and plan. It worked very well last season to achieve relegation but why copy it for this season.
  15. Scientific, analysis football. Boring as shit but that's what we plan each week. Stalemate football in hope that we can nick a goal or 2 then bore the fuck out of everyone in the stadium. Even the staff in burger vans look bored.
  16. Stewart injured!! God now we in deep shit. Basics of a football team is to have a striker, unless your happy with draws.
  17. Only 1 more point to go and major achievement. Agree at least not bottom 3 (yet)
  18. Can Saints just buy the Coventry youtube clips and convert them into some sort of training guide on how to play football and how to find the goal.
  19. Post Traumatic Scoring Disorder PTSD
  20. We are not going up this season Each month we don't get on a 3 game win run the more we will be stuck in bottom half. Can't believe still 250/1 for relegation. Maybe another 25 draws are on the way.
  21. How on earth have Coventry scored 27 hoals do far????
  22. I'm hoping the European super league gets created and get rid of City, Liverpool, Arsenal. Spurs, Man U etc. There will a correction in football then and the TV money will be less. Don't forget 90% of TV billions just goes on players wages and agents
  23. Shifted to those who govto games and TV subscription, pubs. Its amazing how many clubs at lower level charge £10 to sream a game. Watching at a large fan area like Saints Northam or in one of the corp lounges for £10 with drink and curry as in last Pompey away was sold out so allways a new way to cash in. Watching in a pub is ridiculous how can you see anything!!
  24. West Ham owe us £15m for JWP and I can see this being written off and he's back. We need that £15m in Jan window in case of injuries or to bolster the squad. Is Walcott still at the club in some capacity?
  25. Last night was good, but 1st half didn't help, Saints need some first half goals. Have a good trip!
