Unfortunately most managers are data driven virtual managers. I'm fed up with with these tactical managers that don't look at what's going on during the 99 mins and can adjust, or learn from last game. All the teams bar maybe Sheffield Wednesday are much better at playing football than Saints. May have just kept Russell Martin who to me would be much better. Same tactics but scored more goal, got more wins and play off place. The managers after him were 200% worse.

Good data, more please at game 15, 20. The game we play relies totally on bursts of play which could have worked if we got 2 strikers in July, but now stuck with that predicament. RM game was the same all 90 mins and all season which was successful. Saints need to get wins and that looks unlikely with existing game plan for 90 mins.

This season has a familiar pattern to last season. Lack of goals, no striker, odd tactics. Rather than just going to a game thinkg will it be 2-0, 3-0, 2-1 its now how can we draw, this player is injured, this player is not replying that good but if X does this and Y does that, A now starts performing, Bristol have 2 sent off, Bristol have no goal keeper we may get a draw.

We were very lucky to get promoted last time but generally could score more than let in. God know how we got 25 unbeaten run. The way we play with the base as a slow holding game won't get top 2. But any team can get into play offs so we always have that. The worry I have is any one half decent will get fed up of our style of play, unless they fit into slow possession football which most look OK with. We will have players in April thinking what the fuck is this slow stuff about I want premier league football get me out of here. Some excellent play today but some are not as good as the right ups have made them to be. Is it me or was Championship with Russell Martin much more exciting and attacking? Yes it was a masterclass in possession football but we got goals and goals win games, wins get you up the table, get fans up and chanting etc.

I think the club have decided to avoid relegation as priority. That's the target and see where we are next season if the players and manager work out. Its RM but with a twist. Like omelette and chips but now we have egg and chips. I cant see much difference to warrant a new manager may just as well kept RM. Its better in chunks of 10 mins but then all the momentum is lost and start again. We have to stop passing sideways, putting foot on ball stopping momentum, and passing back to keeper.
