Oh well boring football that's more negative than RM. I've always said Saints are just playing to avoid relegation. Can't compete with bottom 8 teams. Can't will challenges, cant run, cant play out from back. Its a relegation team playing relegation football.
-
Its HAL 9000
-
Even radio commentators say Saints are too slow and predictable. Rather than going forward and taking opportunities Saints just look to increase stats,
-
Let off for Saints, 8 lives left.
-
Its an indicator of the quality and level Saints are at this season. If we cant beat all the defective, injured, managerless, rubbish on paper teams then we are at thier level.
-
So Saints are going to sit back until 67th minute when Scienza comes on. If we don't get more than 5 shots in target before Scienza comes on then we are totally a one man team.
-
A draw would be a big result.
-
Back 4 all the, simple to understand and simple to execute. Any other formation needs a player directing things all the time
-
Bin strike still on going, probably a few more years to go. At least Saints fans can sing 'live in a shit hole, you f@ckin live in a shit hole' If we are losing let's hope a few hundred of the 2ft super rats invade the pitch and get game abandoned.

Can we do 6 or 7 the back
-
Thinking the same. We have just reverted to useless negative football in 2nd half that its very unlikely we will score a goal. I'm right next to away fans so a P@mpey 2-0 or 3-0 win will not be good. Most of the players don't have any Saints connection and just another club to play for as we witnessed in P@mpey home game. That was so bad I couldn't belive what I was watching. Now add in the Oxford performance and to raise out game in next matches is near impossible. Birmingham is the test, what happens at that game will be the min we play. Scienza will get kicked by pompey in first 5 mins to go off, guaranteed

The average distance a player runs in a game was approx 8 to 10k. Be interesting to see our player stats. Bet its 4k with our walking possession stuff.

Don't we have a reserve team anymore? Used to watch reserve games on Tuesdays (free) at St Mary's with all the players getting back to fitness playing. Le Tiss and Berbatov in Sours game etc. If we don't how on earth are all our unfit and recovering from injury players going to get match experience? You cant chuck them in a real 1st team match.
-
If your employed as an outfield dribble then goal positioning and saving is not really a concern. Let's look at the positives like being able to wait till last second and pass in 6 yard box. Cross field passes, taking time to take goal kick and don't forget going up for corners. This is the role of the modern data keeper. If we had 2 or 3 players on the line half the shots wouldn't go in.

Hit nail on head. Most of our players cant play 60 mins. That's why the come off. Scienza also gets targeted and kicked but that's a coaching tactic teams have deployed since 70s. Any one too good we can catch just take him out. So out dribblers come off early and if get injured then next game we are tucked no attack option. The 5 subs makes it worse as players only need to train fir fitness for 40 or 50 mins. Saints have developed into a teo half team and 45 min players. I cant remember any game where one of our players has run around for 90 mins or even jogged.

I think fans away and at St Mary's are thinking tge same as you are. Oxford was very quiet apparently and I've noticed the football on the pitch is very dull resulting in fans just going to concourse, talking results checking table. The stewards taking fans out of Northam gets more attention than the sideways on pitch. Good job the stewards don't move sude to side 10 times before removing fans. Even vaping is move popular than watching boring football

“head coach”, good spot. Yes that's code for just coaching what's already decided as with spotting players and buying players, selecting squad.

Birmingham tickets not arrived
die Mannyschaft replied to Starksj1995's topic in Saints Away Supporters
I would call club as could collect at ground as Brum should be able to print your specific ticket. -
Are there more advantages playing 3-4-3 or other Xmas tree formation than the basic simple reliable 4-4-2
-
No point in playing any games if you not interested in getting in top 6, then automatic or playoff. You then just playing for enough points to avoid relegation or mid table meaning lots of games are lost (thrown). May just have half season tickets only and just turn up at end season to see where we end up. Who cares if we go back down, the points of winning games is to go up. If players can be bothered then may as well drop to leaque 1 or leaque 2 then have an easy promotion with £100m squad. Just watched Winchester City beat Bashley and none of the subs who came on couldn't play football, couldn't keep pace or stopped thier team playing football. If Winchester City can make effective subs and not rely on one player at step 7-8 why cant Saints do it at step 2
-
Can we get players in on loan outside of Jan window up to end season? I don't think we will get any players in Jan. Just more take best players off as need them next game and hope we don't let goals in last 20 mins. I can't see us getting many points in next 2 months just enough to avoid relegation and that's going to be good enough for club. Unless it back fires then its loan players.
-
Bad decision to use him by manager and he's not watching the game either to see its just helping opposition. He should have subbed him back off.
-
We don't do tactical fouls and lose out as every other team does it. Could have just sat down in box in box in buildup. Anything. Saints are the softest team in leaque, not physical, not aggressive, just think sideways first not yellow card. Why on earth isn't Bazunu sitting down in box 3 of 4 times when opponents move forward.
-
I think since Tondas got the very good run of wins and team played decent football those points got us out of a certain relegation battle. And that has achieved the clubs target for this season, to avoid relegation. We should be able to scape another 20 points for mid table and to me that's exactly what we set out to do now. I'm convinced the managers target was safety and that's also the players. And that reflects the tactics and subs. Its not the winning that counts its taking part in the Championship 😁

The 2 I went to couldn't be more contrasting Charlton and Millwall. Admit Charlton were almost a leaque 1 side so that was an easy win but we executed the win very well. Millwall I thought we got completely out played even if scoreline looked close. Millwall missed 5 or 6 sitters. The subs completely ruin any game plan and is panic sit back mode. No one takes risks going forward and that's the issue we don't have a team, all 18 who are able to play front foot football. The 11 on the pitch varies so much its not a working unit from say 35 mins 1st sub, to 48 mins 2nd to 80 mins 3rd. 4th sub or any sub combination. We are totally reliant on Scienza, Fellows and a few others that football can only be played to how manger wants in best 11. Even with Ross out we lacking up front. Millwall added time we could of gone all attack but had subs that meant couldn't do that, making 10 passes instead of crossing ball in danger area. Saints cant play the basics of football as keep changing players resulting in strange indecisive football.
