Didn't Saints buy a player from Boro who would know all thier tactics and best players etc etc?
-

Saints fans will have a scarf, balaclava and binoculars on thier seat.
-
I'll go with that. I think we need to attack and play a high line but suspect it will be sit in our own half and try to catch them on break. Boro 0-0 Saints.
-
Exactly, the club either sanctioned it (very unlikely we are not that cleaver look at all the useless players we brought and no one spied on them before making the deal ) or they didn't. Not difficult to say in statement. We can get a statement out saying don't bring flares as it breaches rules x y z quick enough.

I cant believe Saints would officially ask a club coach to stand on a golf hill and record a opposition training session. I would expect that from a social media poster needing 10,000 views. It just sounds so idiotic its got to be a setup.

Southampton charged by the EFLpublished at 22:02 BST 22:02 BSTBreaking FT: Hull CIty 0-0 Millwall Southampton have been charged by the EFL over allegations of spying on Middlesbrough's training sessions ahead of the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final tomorrow. The EFL have released this statement: Southampton Football Club has today been charged with a breach of EFL Regulations, and the matter will be referred to an Independent Disciplinary Commission. This follows a request from the EFL for the Club’s observations after a complaint from Middlesbrough relating to alleged unauthorised filming on private property ahead of the two Clubs meeting in Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Semi-Final First Leg. The charges relate to the following Regulations: EFL Regulation 3.4, which requires Clubs to act towards each other with the utmost good faith; and EFL Regulation 127, which prohibits any Club from observing, or attempting to observe, another Club’s training session within 72 hours of a scheduled match between the two Clubs. Under EFL Regulations, Southampton would ordinarily have 14 days to respond to the charges. However, given the nature of the matter, the EFL will ask the Independent Disciplinary Commission to shorten the response period and to list a hearing at the earliest opportunity. The League will make no further comment whilst proceedings are ongoing.

Its a new rule since leeds spy drone at Derby that teams can watch an opposition within 72 hours of a match. Looks like a in good faith type agreement for clubs to abide by. Cant see any point for ang coach to watch a team unless they want to asses a player to put a transfer bid in. All games are available on YouTube or EFL highlights. We already know the Boro players, who can do what, thier tactics and how tgey play from the 2 leaque games. Saints could have just sent someone to watch Ipswich, Millwall, Hull and Boro in thier last 2 home or away games to spy official by buying a match ticket

Its ridiculous, Saints have a problem spotting thier own players in the box only to pass back to keeper. Its Saints players who need the binoculars.

Probably best away I've been to.

Play offs are on the day games difficult to gauge. Im sure WBA were tge favourites last time or we expected a tougher game at home. The only concern I have is Saints often slow the game down and that lets the opposition in to take control of game.
-
I hope Saints are more secure in midfield and back with runners up front. Could sneak a Saints 0-1 win.
-
That's what I think. My son thinks Saints win 3 nil away then draw home
-
Just met a load of Salford fans on way to Crawley at Birmingham services.
-
It must be that time soon to announce prices for next seasons tickets. Wonder if club will set a price again irrespective of which leaque we are in. Did the prices and sales start on 2nd play off last time?
-
If it means winning and getting a home 2nd player off tie then it needs a decent or half decent team.
-
Yes avoid Ipswich and Millwall in playoffs. Millwall in final maybe and sits all on the day we can do another Leeds if we get there. Leeds were odds on to win but we got the result. Could get Wrexham but all these teams run at Saints which we don’t handle well. Away at Wrexham we were on frobg foot attacking but that's not our usual style

Larin holds ball up well, can distribute ball, shoots and headers ball, and is one of our few players that can run in straight line towards goal. So keep him. Better than tall Paul

I think its the way we play. SLOW, WAIT TILL LAST SECOND. LOOK AOUND FIRST DONT PASS QUICKLY, BACK AND SIDEWAYS FIRST OPTION. The high risk non direct football allways creeps back in. Azaz does the same. Fellows beats 6 players but not allowed to pass until 3 players round him the its end up being given away. We didn't do so much of the Saints style v Arsenal or City so why return to this risky passing for leaque games. Oh Manning does it every kick down wing and all defenders, actually all the team, even Peretz looks like he wants to have a go. -
I'll be very happy to see the U21s play Sat
-
Pointless game and long trip now to see reserves. No point playing any 1sf team players or get them off ASAP. For once I will be happy yo see a repeat of most seasons RM sideways and back, lots of walking, 900 passes . Just don't do anything Just Stop Azaz...best stickers at Wembley

Bit too slow and sideways and ba k. Need to learn to run at a ball and just walk it out for throw. Half our hials conceded ard due to trying to pass out and giving ball assy ending to unmarked player. 2 great goals. Leave all thd players out of Preston game to rest as we look very tired. -

Ipswich win tomorrow then they are promoted. Its a lot of pressure on Saints more than Ipswich as draw and its calculator time and down to other teams. -

People moan about RB Leipzig being a plastic club but Man City, Arsenal, Man U, B Munich Real etc they are all just buying titles and cups with money and no one can complete. The quicker these clubs break away and join a super leaque the better.
