Manager should stop al these pre match, post match stuff and concentrate on football. Makes no difference whats said, its what happens on the pitch during the game that important. These press nonsense are made worse by managers with a 100 different options of line up, subs, formation and injury updates.

Just looked at all the fixtures in championship until end December. Saints must start to win games definitely Swansea and Bristol otherwise the combination of teams below us playing each other and its unlikely all teams above say 5 places will lose or just draw. Also we have put ourselves in a situation where Pompey winning will help us stay 17th. Its a nightmare situation that requires a complete change in our football tactics and understanding that having no prolific goal scorer is just a minor blip and it will all come together in a few months. I don't think Saints realise that we are not that much better than teams below us. Not from what I have seen.

Its unbearably poor quality, boring and negative football. How on earth are we still favourites for a top 6 place.

It doesn't matter if we are on 21 points come New Year or still on 11, nothing will happen, same side to side and no striker. If Saints players cant play free flowing attacking football then the club needs to look for manager in National league or Southern League Division On as the teams I've seen so far don't have any problems playing real football. I've got Saints and Eastleigh season ticket and get some Winchester City games in and the difference in standard of foot is huge. Saints are so negative and cant even shoot enough. For God sake just play football and stop looking at spreadsheets, PowerPoints and YouTube.

Good performance sham Saints cant play more direct through lines with pace etc. Germany won't get passed QF if that, terrible team none of the players are high quality and can cover if pulled out of position. Defence is championship level.

If the manager and coaching team are fully reliant on stats for the players from last game and the stats on players for opponents in next game there is no point watching the players in the 90 mins. Its all pre programming the power point or xls, and that's it if x player cant stop y player or mid 3 cant pass round 4 infringement of them its computer rejects 3 point. Its complete garbage in garbage on pitch. Too much time managing player data to fit into a tactics spreadsheet. In stead of one computer model of possession football we now have 3 or 4. Saints have brought a V8 engine (the 9 players) and installing it onto a Yamaha 250cc motorbike. Nothings working except reverse which you don't get on the motorbike.

Must be modern football tactics and training as old programmes show same 11 plus 2 players in squad all season.

Maybe its the slow walking and repetitive passing that's not helping muscles warm up or keep in shape. If you look at players in championship and leaque 1 they are much more aggressive and fast. Possession walking football is for the over 60s like myself not a professional football club. I don't think our players are trained for bursts of speed from a stationary position. 0 to 15mph in 5 minutes

Great game, Saints well in control first half. Very attacking football, through balls, dribbling inside, actually shooting quickly without 25 touches. This made the mens team look non league.

how we ended up paying £20m for Carrillo and £18m for Onuachu. 500k is more realistic. We still keep buying players overage odds. It seems to me the expensive a player the less output we get. Someone from the board needs to go a field trip to National League teams and find out how you scout for players and pay affordable prices for them. I bet Coventry, Stoke, Swansea, Bristol City don't have a expensive squad. And are more competitive than us..

I've just had a scan and got slight torn ligament in groin , thought was my hernia mesh. No walking football for few weeks so I'm ruled out for Swansea and Bristol City. NHS Winchester very good service. Perhaps Saints need to go there might be quicker !!

I must say the women's football is very entertaining and very reasonable cost. Went to Euro 2022 final and registered a year early, got e mail to order and ticket about £18 ! Also went you FA cup final Man U v Spurs as Saints women had good chance to get there and gambled and got tickets again £24. Last game Wembley was England women v Germany 2024 again under £25. Took my son and his was £12. Great atmosphere, lots families, lots goals and the turnstiles next to use had Pompey womens teams queueing up so us two with out Saints shirts on surrounded by 60 plus Pompey shirts. All aound 80k. I think Euro and WC, FA cup finals and group games will be much better attended. The Euro 2022 games were all sold out at St Mary's as again those who cant afford the mens team games will have good chance to see thier team. Going to Saints women's v Pompey but that's not selling that well. Parking bit steep at £10. Although the Saints v Man U game at Eastleigh sold out. Eastleigh better venue for me as in Eastleigh and Soton a nightmare to get to on train.

Just watched EFL highlights ans half the goal in all leaque and from forwards who get ball delivered to them either high or on deck. Control the ball 1 or 2 touches then back it into the goal. Its not difficult and plenty of competent forwards in the leaques. If we cant get these players then just copy the tactics, goals galour each week.
