Anyone who understands 4-4-2 and the long ball. Even Man U won titles by just sending in crosses and launching ball in box. I would even take RH from Palace. A manager needs to be alert to new stupid fads like having two players in 6 yard box when taking a goal kick, and not tackling . Ipswich were putting 9,10 passes together without us making a tackle.

A draw at best. We can only compete against Bitton 8 teams witch have -4 to -9 goal diff. So that's 16 draws plus our 10 points gives 26 points. Max if we win 5 games all season maybe 42 to 49. I just can't see any improvement due to possession football which is essentially a tactic to waste 80% of tge game in hope of a break or counter attack. Different formations and players swapped in different positions won't help either as the basic starting point of DONT ATTACK and wait until one of 3 shots on target go in. I would rather see long ball boot it in the box Borough 0-0 Saints

It's impossible to win more games than you lose if the plan is possession football with no natural forward. Its only 5 minutes out of 97 mins where we have a chance to shoot. About 11 million people play football in England and we can't find 2 or 3 forwards who can shoot instinctively from 1 yard or 25 yards without thinking I must pass first.

For the First time since 1976/77 left early with 7 mins added. The standard of football is conferance south. The players first instinct is to stop the ball, pass, pass another 5 times, then back twice then pass to opposition. Ipswich kept tackling until they got a yellow, we did nothing defensively, no one in midfield at all, great open spaces. I did the right thing by not renewing my season ticket. Just such boring football with no aim. How can a team win games if they don't play to score goals. I can't see Saints winning a game before new year. And 2 players in the 6 yard box when we have a goal kick, what tge he'll is that about, surely that's not in the UEFA coaching level 3 handbook of how to win games.

Don't expect promotion via playoffs as this defence is championship or even leaque 1. How can you let a goal in within 1 minute again. It's more like another survival season. 6,7 or 8 tonight. I'm not looking forward to Hong to Ipswich game.

This could be 8-0

8th at best 6th but very unlikely as you need goals and we don't have any proper front players. Defence is a concern as we don't score more than we let in and possession tactics is not real football. Playing the low press in your own box is just not aggressive enough in Prem let alone a direct ball leaque.

Saints first team to select 11 Pokemon. Ridiculously poor performance and web site wants £4 per month to listen to commentary.

This is the Saints team. Av it.

Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?
die Mannyschaft replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Needs to be a reduction in price for season tickets as its too expensive plus on the day ticket costs. These are the prices for teams in championship this season. Surprisingly expensive so club will say its on par with others and keep prices same or as I suspect 10% more. Birmingham City - £250 to £475 Blackburn - £429 to £529 Blackpool - £309 to £54 Bristol City - £380 to £675 Burnley - £365 to £590 Cardiff - £249 to £529 Coventry - £399 Huddersfield - £350 Luton - £430 to £500 Middlesbrough - £514 to £675 Millwall - £385 to £560 Preston - £400 to £535 QPR - £235 to £640 Reading - £299 to £445 Rotherham - £380 to £460 Sheff Utd - £404 to £515 Stoke - £379 to £556 Sunderland - £390 to £498 Swansea - £345 Watford - £438 to £567 West Brom - £329 to £439 Wigan - £379 to £399 -
Best result this season Portsmouth 0-0 Morecambe. And for a team that had average gate of 11,000 for 10 seasons National League is where the blue few will be at home.

No more possession football with idiotic tactics and overpriced players. Astronomical player wages rather than affordable tickets. Hold on Liverpool game to go yet.
-
Should beat Forest 3-1. If we don't win then in the unlikely event we win last 3 games 33 points won't be enough anyway so its relegation. Everton win and we lose today makes it probally 1/200 for drop. Just hope manager starts with best players and no changes at all.
-
The manager must have seen something in the optiva data for Bournemouth. God help us if we lose to fake rival Bournemouth. I'll go for Saints 1-0 Poole Town Res.
-
Possession football = not in opposition box = no goals = loss or draw. And we did't have any strikers for most of the season. Is it really that difficult to find a player who can hit the net rather than the goali, row Z or fall over.
-
I watch Winchester city sometimes and it's a million times more entertaining and skillfully. Prem players would not be able to match the fitness or shooting from 20 yards
-
Cricky 2 goals away...
-
Saints away day to the library Prem 2004 Arsenal 2-2 Saints (R Delap 2 goals) relegated that season. A draw won't be enough at this stage. Ticket £33 now more than they away game £30 cap.
-
There is no system to track and reward long term season holders. Like many of us I had mine in Dell then continued at SMS . With SMS ticketing you would think the club could reward loyalty even if it was £5 for each season. Even the discount on coffee has gone this season.
-
Arsenal 6-0 Saints. Apart from about 10 mins of some decent forward passing and 4 shots that was all we could v Palace. It's now fown yovgettjng points away as can't play any type of aggressive football at SMS. This season is 100 worse than Brandfoot season.
-
The moder game doesn't require a striker just defenders and a keeper to pass back and forth. It saves the coach having to keep telling players where to find thd goal
-
Spot on get rid of the big money clubs to the super leaque.
-
Archers Road block 5, great times..
-
Need 4 wins minimum and 9 draws won't be enough. From what I havd seen all season 5 draws is max we can get. Saints need to watch Eastleigh train to see how football used to be played.
-
Uou can't win games without scoring, why ddidn't we by a striker or even two. Even if we played long ball there is no natural front man. Too much negative football for two seasons makes it impossible to raise the pace when one down. None of these players would be fit or skillfull enough in championship.
