  1. Somebody posted a stat a few weeks ago showing that in terms of shots saved he’s one of the worst in Europe.
  2. Had he punched it then the strength of his wrists would not have mattered. The decision not to punch was a mistake
  3. He should have punched it out of the box. He concedes a lot of weird goals that are a product of poor positioning and/ or decision making
  4. Just watched the highlights what was he trying to do prior to the first goal ? just weird. Sort of thing you see in Sunday league
  5. Thought the West Ham performance last night showed how poor we were in the game on Sunday. WHU were poor on Sunday but we were so tentative we just gifted them the three points when it was a must win game. The whole approach of the club is wrong but it does seem if a team sits deep we cannot score from open play
  6. I agree - you could see WH were very tentative in that first twenty minutes but instead of going for it we were happy to play passive crap football and be happy at 0-0. We seem incapable of setting the tempo and taking the game to opponents unless we are behind and by then it’s generally too late as we rarely score from open play. on a positive note bazanu seems to be improving and less of a liability than a couple of months ago
  7. The commentator on sky said we have scored the lowest number of goals at this stage of the season in our history. Can’t be bothered to check if that’s correct but if true then it’s sums up why we are going down and if you take our free kicks it would be truly horrendous. Think defensively we are ok but part of that is because we don’t commit men forward and spend large swathes of the game passing it around to no effect and boring the shit out of everyone. We are also so slow and ponderous in the transition and it just makes for a really difficult watch. Guess we are down now and will be cut adrift after the Arsenal game
  8. This is just awful - WH are shit but we just don’t look like scoring. It’s so pedestrian. Just depressing really
  9. Least number of goals at this stage of any season in our history West Ham look poor but we are so passive. Dreadful stuff
  10. Seems the obvious team if we want to try and win it and score some goals
  11. You can’t play both diallo and moi and be creative - again we look stodgy
  12. Perhaps the solution is to put Tall Paul in goal for his distribution. He might make the odd save as well
  13. This tells a thousand stories. His stats are by some distance the worst in the division when it’s comes to preventing goal. It’s not even close ! I get McCarthy isn’t perfect but at least I recall his making saves that were noteworthy amidst the errors. I’m sure we can come up with a decent save or two over the season but I am struggling to think of any. We don’t actually suffer many shots on target but when we do it’s often a goal because he doesn’t prevent goals and that’s a keepers job first and foremost
  14. He is a poor keeper - don’t see how anyone can reasonably say otherwise.
  15. Totally agree about bazunu - it’s ridiculous he’s still in the team
  16. You look at that line up and realise why we are doomed for gods sake bazunu has still not been dropped
  17. Hopefully no bazunu
  18. My point was more that the signings haven’t improved the squad not that those players had excellent seasons before they departed. For example surely we would be better off with Forster in goal than bazanu ? The later has some of the worst statistics in premier league history and is one of the main reasons we are going down. He doesn’t make any significant saves whereas Forster did, along with the odd gaff. Edozie has literally no end product ( no goals and no assists) but Redmond did have some end product along with some really dire games. I’m not saying they were great players but they are better than what we have now. The signings have been total shite with the odd exception.
  19. Weird that Redmond, Forster, Romeu, Tella would all likely walk into the side now. Shows how poor the recruitment has been.
  20. Here’s the thing; if edozie was an academy graduate he would have been loaned out but because we paid £12 million (!) for him we think we should persevere despite the fact he flatters to deceive. A few nice step overs but zero end product. Another poor signing and we may as well have retained tella and saved the money. The signing of him, bazanu and larios look increasingly dismal
  21. I think alcaraz has looked poor when he has played. I wonder who makes the decisions on who we sign and what evidence they base decisions on as most of our signings haven’t improved the side. We are at a point when Theo Walcott looks like the best forward we have
  22. Thought alcaraz was poor. The game seems to largely pass him by as he jogs around to no great effect
  23. Whatever combination of players we put out under three different managers the results are the same. Thought alcaraz was particularly bad
  24. No disgrace losing at home to Grimsby
  25. Comedy gold - you’ve got to laugh really its reached farcical proportions.
