  1. Watching Wood get the ball stuck under his feet gives me heart palpitations.
  2. Breezy is a modern cult hero. Just gets on with the job and fans love him for it. Glad to see everything turn out the way it has after Mad Nate's words about him 'Not wanting to go back to Southampton'.
  3. Sad to see Ross leave in this way but getting Cyle signed early softens the blow and it does mean we can look forward to a new forward signing. Breezy signing up another 3 years is massive. He's still getting better and better and is so consistent. I'm sure we've got a couple more big name departures coming but we've done so well to get Larin, Peretz and Breezy sorted nice and early. I have a feeling we might just keep Leo you know. Age and contract status are favourable and he seems like the type who may just reward us with some loyalty (Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic but we will see). Feels like this will be one of the more stable windows we will have had in recent memory.
  4. Maybe in Leicester’s case 🤣
  5. This was a really good read. The more I hear from Dragan the more confidence he gives me as a supporter. You don't get to be a billionaire without some financial nous after all 😂 His points around parachute payments are a perfect example of uninformed pundits and podcasters bringing them up as a false flag for financial stability in the Championship. They really are there to ensure clubs don't get liquidated the minute they are relegated.
  6. Fellows looks on paper like he SHOULD be the perfect fit for the way we play. In reality that just hasn't come to bear. Good to remember that he is only 22. Although he has a lot of playing time under his belt, perhaps the level of expectation is just a little beyond him at this stage.
  7. New rules limit his annual investment to 10 mil I believe
  8. Yeah looks like a depth option with high potential. Thinking about it, it also potentially allows Matuski to play as a backup 10. Dragan was talking about that position needing some depth to give Finn a break.
  9. Jofre Carreras' name is once again emerging in the transfer market. According to Ángel García, better known on social media as "Cazurreando", Southampton are considering a move for the RCD Espanyol winger. At this stage, we're not talking about a completed deal or even a formal offer, but there is reported interest from England, putting the Espanyol player on the radar of a club with genuine ambitions rather than a minor side. Jofre Carreras: A Different Profile for Southampton The thinking from Southampton appears fairly straightforward. The Saints are looking for a wide player who can offer something different from their current options, and Jofre fits that profile. He may not always attract the biggest headlines, but he has been involved with Espanyol's first team for the past three seasons. This campaign, he made 26 appearances, including nine starts. That statistic sums up his situation quite well: he isn't an undisputed starter, but neither is he simply making up the numbers. He's a player who competes for minutes, contributes when called upon, and still possesses the potential for further development. Southampton's Push to Return to the Premier League Southampton's situation also adds context to the reported interest. The club remains focused on securing a return to the Premier League, but their recent Championship campaign was far from straightforward. The season was overshadowed by the well-publicised "Spygate" controversy involving alleged surveillance of rival training sessions, including those of Middlesbrough. The fallout contributed to Southampton missing out on promotion through the play-offs, turning the end of their season into a highly turbulent affair. It was certainly not a calm spring at St Mary's. Now, as the club looks to rebuild and challenge for promotion once again, Southampton are reportedly assessing players who could strengthen that project. According to Cazurreando's information, Jofre Carreras is one of those players. A Career Still Waiting for Consistency There is a feeling that Jofre still hasn't shown his best form over an extended period. He possesses pace, directness, and the ability to beat defenders in wide areas, qualities that are increasingly valuable in modern football. At times, he has lacked consistency, while on other occasions he has struggled to impose himself on matches. It's also fair to say that Espanyol's environment has not always been the easiest setting for a young player to develop without pressure or scrutiny. Nevertheless, he continues to progress, and interest from a club like Southampton suggests that his performances have not gone unnoticed outside Spain, even if local criticism often receives more attention than his strengths. Interest, Not a Done Deal It's important to keep the situation in perspective. Southampton's interest does not mean that Jofre is about to leave Espanyol, nor does it indicate that the Catalan club are actively looking to sell him. For now, the key word is interest. Southampton reportedly have him on their shortlist, but there is still a considerable distance between monitoring a player and completing a transfer. As is often the case during transfer windows, a player's name can appear on a recruitment list one day, disappear a few days later, or unexpectedly develop into serious negotiations when nobody sees it coming.
  10. Wasn't this the lad that was a real handful when we played them in pre-season last year?
  11. Hate to break it to you mate, because I like the man but I don't think big Roscoe would be lighting up the Prem. If we were promoted I'd imagine we would have invested heavily in that area given Larin was on loan and Ross was due.
  12. Actually pretty prudent. If we were promoted we clearly would have considered other targets, that's why it wouldn't have been triggered.
  13. Yeah read as if the agent and legal team are exploiting a loophole. Really disappointing but does imply we might not have triggered it on promotion.
  14. Most encouraging line for me. "For every guy we thought might have an offer, we have five to six guys already lined up that we are monitoring, because it's also very important." You always hope that's the case but I'm glad to read it!
  15. Turkish promised us a conservatory, I won’t rest until we see it.
