    The Athletic

The Athletic as a whole has gone downhill since the NYT acquired it (shock, I know) Used to love it for the way I could just read some really good, in-depth content of Saints and the teams I follow across US sports, with coverage of the wider league matters all in the same place and in a writing style I appreciated and felt was quite informative and well-pitched. But it's now so, so much worse. Only stuck with it because I went to cancel my subscription and they gave me a £1 a month renewal for the next year

Exactly, people get so overly emotional. This stuff doesn't get in the public domain without people wanting it there. It's not a sting operation or an exposé
  3. Not even at the first friendly of preseason, which is only an XI game against Eastleigh, in fairness - it is a bit much
  4. Yep, as if we haven't signed more players than most teams in the league. Yes, still plenty to do and we've signed more squad fillers than starters so far, but it's a good start and we're ahead of where we'd ordinarily be
  5. Saint Garrett's post reminds me a bit of last season's Girona kit
  6. Full article says he has interest from Celtic and one PL club, which he says is Saints
  7. Ollie Watkins
  8. Newcastle Chronicle's chief NUFC writer says Ryan Fraser has agreed terms with Saints, it's just down to Newcastle and Fraser to come to a settlement but the deal is otherwise 'imminent'
  9. Signed him from A-Z And he eats sushi (and he fucking hates Pompey, clap clap clap)
  10. Voetbal International saying the fee is €7m
  11. BBC saying we backed out of our pursuit of Max Aarons because AFCB wanted £10m+ and we'd rather spend on Sagawara in that case
  12. Can't say I am too gutted. The cynic in me wonders if Sao Paulo are the ones who have been feeding the press re: Saints to smoke Torino out
  13. Something other than the personal terms, presumably
  14. Translation: The @SouthamptonFC has already had the medical examinations carried out by #Welington of the @SaoPauloFC. But the @TorinoFC_1906 still hopes to prevail
  15. Bobby De Cordova-Reid has decided to sign for Leicester
  16. Labour now at 326 seats, meaning they've officially secured an outright win in this GE
  17. Rishi Sunak concedes (well, yeah) and says he has already phoned Keir Starmer to congratulate him and wish him well
