Agree with much of that although Goztepe would never had access to those players without SFC. And SFC was his answer to losing the PL rights in Serbia. He has brought Spors in as well. My sense, not ITK, is there was a tyre kick or two, Solak’s said via TalkSPORT backed up by the Echo and BBC Solent when asked ‘that’s the price’. Nothing in the commercial world is not never for sale.
-
Get the club promoted again though first, better price, unless he’s got buyers sniffing who reckon they can both buy the club and invest to grow in the PL to promote whatever their mission is?
-
Given how interlinked the three clubs are, one can only assume that they are also up for sale? And worth a lot less in Goztepe’s and Valenciennes case without the joint scouting and management systems? Rasmus will be out of work and his brother - wonder if he’s fallen out with Solak and Dragan went ‘fuck it, this Rasmus’s pet empire. I want to sack the prick but can’t be arsed to do it solo’?
-
This is what I thought. Effectively they’d be up for sale too. Far easier to sack Rasmus like he did with Kraft.
-
Those of you who missed the League 1 days are in for a treat then. Nice of the club to give the new manager the final say.
-
He’s done far more damage again in concert with Martin over the last 2 seasons as well. As usual, it will be the supporters and residents of the city employed at the club paying the price.
-
It would be a legal headache trying to untangle the three clubs though. And these rumours are about SFC not Goztepe or Valenciennes, nor SR itself.
-
What a shitshow, now making the papers https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/southampton-sale-relegation-dragan-solak-35133462 In reality the club probably isn’t up for sale actively but would take £125m if offered. But seemingly SR have been indiscreet. Dread to think what Spors or prospective managers make of what Jordan has said and the lack of clear response. Doubtful ownership, no manager, mercenary squad in tatters, set for equal low record points total = this could get a whole lot worse next season.

😂🤣 Hopefully they will at least let the fingers cool down a bit from being under the grill first?

And very, very expensive per asylum seeker https://www.ippr.org/media-office/hidden-costs-of-rwanda-scheme-revealed-to-be-in-the-billions-finds-ippr Given the old people who howled about the Winter Fuel allowance are the biggest supporters of Rwanda along with other Brexiteers and Red Wall seats, and the policy did not have anywhere near majority public support (just 16% thought it was VFM), who is actually footing the bill for the removal of 20k for an eye-watering cost of £2-4bn? Faster processing and rejections as appropriate are way more cost effective, get numbers down and allow those under more serious consideration to work after 6 months: https://odi.org/en/insights/the-cost-of-the-uks-rwanda-plan-lessons-for-eu-member-states/ Also, Israel found with their own Rwanda scheme that refugees sent there tried to head back to Europe almost immediately and was a colossal waste of money, hence they swiftly pulled the plug. I wasn’t against Rwanda on ethical grounds - but the evidence shows clearly it’s hideously expensive and very ineffective on a much smaller sample size than needed.

Yep, Ross has to be regarded as a David Connolly type bonus next season. If you can get some cameos with goals and assists in, great, but to expect more than 20-25 appearances with maybe half a dozen starts would be folly.

Except even the feet strength is a myth, as you can see from this video from the home of myths

Since Ronald left, still good at home 2015/16. Under Puel definitely more of an away team, under the dreadful Pellegrino awful anywhere with a good squad with a manager scared witless to afraid to attack, and the away record was much better than the home under Ralph. Similar home and way record last season but not as clinical as should have been at home eg Rotherham to over-passing and wasting the ball and time when having a narrow lead.
-
Got to cross our fingers that a run of games restores that.

I was pleasantly surprised. I thought after 3 years out all of his conditioning would’ve vanished but looked alright. Not brilliant but offered more than Jeffrey Archer as I call him.
-
Did alright today, has played very few Champ games even pre-injury let alone PL how that would translate next season is anyone’s guess, but not a factor in today’s defeat. Actually worse after he was subbed as no outlet at all.

From ‘We’ll drop all tariffs and trade with everybody’ to never backing Brexit - ‘we’re an education charity strongly supporting EU membership’ - IEA are hilarious. 🤣 Never has a shadily-funded think tank been so wrong so consistently. Next they’ll ferret away from the Truss budget

THB will be off almost certainly if SR can turn a sufficient profit and the player has changed agent which is usually a sign, Bednarek ditto if Roma are still in the picture. Agree on Stephens and the market is very limited for him and the clubs who might want him can’t afford the wages so he stays as back-up with Wood. ABK - who knows?! So probably a first choice CB coming in alongside Edwards. Full backs - Bree probably stays unless Charlton come up in the POs and rejoin Jones. Wellington and Manning LWBs, Taylor like ABK unknown, Larios the Milk Carton missing kid apparently has interest from Spain. Sugawara off though - Napoli or the Italian volleyball team interested. KWP 100% off, so probably a new RWB.

He’s joined Badenoch and MAGA in attacking children with SEND. Classy and ignorant in equal measure https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/nigel-farage-mind-reform-uk-dover-national-autistic-society-b1224130.html And a rubber-faced hypocrite https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cw9ydv975wzo Echoes RFK’s comments, showing again that Reform are simply MAGA-lite.

To think that even other struggling Saints sides have had the likes of Flowers and Niemi in goal. Keeper recruitment has been crap for about 10 years now.
-
The Leicester result skews a far smaller sample. And look at the outcomes in the play offs themselves plus we only conceded one at Elland the game before.

Cross-party legislation coming in to tackle reckless cyclist behaviour which harms or kills others (recognising this is a small minority of cyclists) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn0w8g18x9no

Your last sentence has some truth to it, but the injury in part forced Martin’s hand. He’s just conceded 15 in only 8 games for one of Belgium’s biggest clubs in a much weaker league which indicates it’s not just an SFC defensive issue or style of play. He’s worse than average and his age has to stop being an excuse for not saving routine shots at his goal. Saints must buy a Ramsdale replacement and loan Gavin out, even if it’s heavily subsidised. He’s a liability.
