  1. It’s looking more like the National League system. And don’t even get me started on the lack of three up three down between that and League 2.
  2. Blackburn are really poor - unfathomable that Saints lost up there and Still deserved the push on that result alone. Another very unpopular and out of touch ownership too. If you’re one of the Champ’s bigger teams struggling, with Weds, Oxford and them, this is the season to be shit. Can’t believe we didn’t beat the skates twice either as they’re dreadful.
  3. I don’t think this is a fight he should pick and he’s become obsessed with Reform and related issues. Ratcliffe’s comments are lazy Boomer slop that he’s picked up from the Mail or Telegraph and miles off reality, so I don’t neccessarily agree that Ratcliffe shouldn’t be challenged but there’s plenty of others picking up the challenge so an under pressure PM didn’t need to join in.
  4. Not just a fair bit out - 8million is quite some margin of error. Personally I don’t think it’s a fight Starmer should pick, his response to Davey wasn’t very bright either, and his judgement is bloody awful. But Ratcliffe’s comments were miles off as well and bullshit, so one idiot doesn’t make the other idiot valid. If I was with our Exec Board at work and I was as far out on my facts as Ratcliffe was, I’d get torn to shreds and wouldn’t be credible. Starmer shouldn’t have joined in but Ratcliffe doesn’t do Man U any favours either.
  5. Disgrace of a human being too. I’m sure at least 65m zealots would disagree though.
  6. Was that Austin who appealed and then scored the free kick? Presuming that was v Wigan for WBA.
  7. Who are notoriously inaccurate about anything vaguely data-related or technical these days.
  8. I think Labour re-introduced the Free Speech bill but I can’t claim to know the technicalities I’m afraid. I think it was linked into the large Sussex fine which is currently being contested at the High Court.
  9. What’s the source in this report/data?
  10. Ed Davey gets shit on here from some quarters but he knows how to rattle opponents. That’s why there was the pile onto him about the Post Office after the Tories were wound up by him (despite the fact it was multiple parties responsible and unless you had a PhD in computer science you still wouldn’t have uncovered it anyway). I wish he’d cut out the comic cuts crap on campaigns but easy to underestimate him.
  11. I broadly agree but there’s a duty they have of freedom of speech both ways - external and internal. And having been a student myself in the 1990s student societies can get very touchy about top down edicts (and that was long before the Lord Brown Review and the fee hikes). If I was them, I’d have had a counter-statement saying that they thought Reform should have been heard but respecting the autonomy of student bodies. The top Unis are engaging with Reform a lot more and there seems to be some reciprocation. I would if I was a Vice Chancellor.
  12. Not suggesting going easy on them because they have to learn to be open-minded and inclusive even with things they like less, but a bit of humour goes a long way. Starmer understandably gets hammered for being humourless but Tice is just as bad there.
  13. Fosters does taste like piss to be fair.
  14. Yep, American pretty much can be referred to as a former superpower now, same as Russia. Both nations are still powerful but China is the only superpower in town.
  15. And it’s also about behaving like an adult when there’s immature behaviour, in this instance by a student society. It’s why politicians like Jeremy Hunt get my respect because he’d laugh that off in the same circumstances. Too many Reform, Cons and Labour would have reacted like Tice did although probably not quite as petulant.
  16. Labour certainly haven’t lived up to their promise to be the adults back in the room but this is Tice the Toddler, straight out of the Trump/Dementia manual. Reform will never be fit to govern as long as they’ve got a hole in their arses. I don’t agree with the no platforming, to be clear, the more scrutiny Reform receive the better, same as all political parties, but the response is so poor, they’re students FFS. Be the adult Richard, put your big boy pants on and grow up.
  17. I was there as well - great for the boot to be on the other foot.
  18. Look at Hunta84’s post https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/138785-southampton-match-thread-h-745/page/55/#comments ’Matt Elliott and Iwan Roberts were saying to get the fourth and kill the game. Looks like Southampton took their advice’
  19. And we’ve given them Big Joe Aribo as well 😂
  20. 🎵 3-0 and you fucked it up 🎵
  21. 9-0 again ole ole
  22. As the Catherine Tate grandmother chraracter said ‘what a load of old shit’
  23. Jeffrey Archer or Jofra Archer would’ve contributed more and they’re not footballers. Not sure Cameron is either tbh.
  24. Is Ings injured? Because not in their squad.
  25. Whilst I don’t agree with Reform UK, I certainly don’t agree with the no platforming from Bangor’s Student debating society there either.
