I was in the first 5-10 rows at the Britania/wind-tunnel, hammered too so I didnt form much of an understanding/view of the game. Went to the Harvester pub next door after the game, spoke to a few Stoke fans at various occasions and I found them all to be very complimentary of our performance, all saying we play really nice football. Friendly enough people too, strong Stokie accents, though I got the impression it could have 'kicked off' if a single drop of their beer was spilt! They also said the weather is terrible all the time, and they dont want to fill in the corners as it adds to the raw environment and makes it hard for visitors.

Seems pretty standard no, just a build up of customer direct debits? Does anyone have any experience of any smaller suppliers? Ecotricity seem to be quite confident that you wont pay much more than the major cartels, though online reviews (most around a year old), suggest you will pay a bit more. http://www.ecotricity.co.uk/about-ecotricity With no shareholders, this not-for-profit enterprise sounds attractive (plus that green moral high ground).

I guess so, very unlucky though I must say, none of the other prices changed on the other trains IIRC. Not only that, theyve informed us there wont be any free beer in the first class carridge, disgraceful. At the barbours earlier, I predicted a 2-1 Saints victory, "oh wow" he exclaimed "you think youre gonna let one in?"! Our dream is real.

If the scenario we flipped (drunk white girls attempt to murder a somalian muslim), I suspect the jail terms would be immediate and significantly longer. That is absolutely shocking. They shouldnt have sung what they did, nor should Ed Milliband been photographed with a family member with a T-shirt celebrating Thatchers death, nor should extremist muslims march in Luton hailing death to British police, but to send these people to jail is outrageous. Especially in comparison to the attempted murder article above.

Yes, Stephen Fitzpatrick Managing Director at Ovo Energy, I would like him to elaborate further on the behaviour of the big six. Uncle Dave might be looking at a future directorship perhaps? Tony Blair middle east envoy FFS The masses will revolt perhaps, the tolerant Brits will grow a spine eventually, when they get too cold and hungry! For these 2%ers mucking around with the populations money and energy, its all good and well creaming off the bottom line, artificially inflating your shareholding. But none of that will protect you when the masses turn vigilante on your ar*e, holding you responsible, that shareholding will not be much use to them when somebody is seizing their car as compo. Perhaps. I reckon if geeky Red Ed wages war on the utility companies, it could well be an election winner IMO

What are your thoughts on the goings on surrounding our utility companies? It seems to me that they are intent on repeatedly putting up prices, whilst repeatedly declaring record breaking profits (which they would have tried to keep at an absolute minimum too). Politics is now at the core of the debate, and it seems they are intent on putting up prices with or without Red Eds proposed price freezes. 'Big Six' firms are threatening rising prices to deal with green levies, rising prices to combat Millibands scheme, or refusing to invest in basic infrastructure if Ed gets his way. Not a very cooperative approach and not great corporate communications to your customer base IMO. I read yesterday of a CEO from a smaller provider, claiming the 'Big Six' are blaming the rising costs of the wholesale energy market, yet the price increases are six times above and beyond the increase in wholesale prices. A similar arguement stands for the 'green taxes'. I read that of the 'Big Six' that were summoned to parliament to explain their increases, only one sent a senior leader/director, the rest sent technical staff with a brief to baffle and confuse MPs and to muddy the debate. Are they a cartel? Are they maintaining an oligopoly? Are they blackmailing our goverment and society? Are you considering taking action, such as going to a smaller provider? Personally, I believe they are out of control, and a big part of me feels compelled to back Ed Milliband in his freeze proposal, even if it fails, somebody has to try and get a grip on something which is such a fundamental part of society (Call me Dave probably laughs about this kind of thing in the back of his mind!).

You have brought this upon yourself. By waging war on the lounge and boastfully suggesting you will be able to infiltrate the regime. It has backfired and all you have now is bingo bigots and transgender posters rights campaigners in your muppet show.

We are going up by train too, there is a shuttle bus operation from the station IIRC. Pubs seem to be the Glebe or the Terrace Inn station wise, can View From The Top suggest anything? We had a shocking experience with thetrainline.com, two of us (in different locations were on the site looking to purchase six tickets), studying all the times and various routes etc to get the most suitable time and best price. Ten-fifteen minutes later the price leaped by over £100 when we went to proceed with our favoured option at the checkout stage, when we tried to clear the order and start again, the specific trains we had selected had gone way up in price. C*nts, tracking our cookies or whatever. We bought through national rail in the end via a private browser much closer to the original price, well done thetrainline, thanks. Anyone experienced anything like this before? I cant see the demand on a specific off-peak train from Euston to Stoke soaring in a way that would bump the price so much higher. Really looking forward to another trip to the Brit, every chance of winning!

His extravagence is even greater than we have speculated on here. It almost reads to me that the pompey purchase may have been a step to far for old Vlad. I recall abusing Vladimir on his 'facebook' page and Dubai promptly warning me off, which I promptly did! Funny mention of the Snoras award as the 'retail bank of the year' old Corpy used to be so pleased about, PMSL. Another interesting point, the Times mentions funds and assets were sent round the world to accounts of Vladimirs, or people close to him. Step forward Mr Dubov!

Thats fine Tokes, well done to you. I however like to go one step further and show appreciation and understanding of our Papoutsiphobia-LGBT posters, by wearing these: Is there any reason why you continue to exclude lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender posters in your campaign (my campaign is inclusive of them all.. ), by which you are explicitly endorsing the discrimination of lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender posters? The sarcastic nature of your reply has some viscious undertones in my opinion, something others may be very uncomfortable about as LGBT posters Spud. I suspect you are a victim of phobophobia All I can suggest is tip down your pink sombrero, and think of England.
-
That’s fine, thank you. I was confused due to the muppet shows previous campaign to support gay posters rights to be openly gay on a message board, which was indeed a hugely successful campaign which continues to gain notoriety, particularly so in the Kemp Town district in Brighton. Hence why I was so surprised to you respond in such a homophobic manner, it just didn’t ring true. Good luck with the LGBT-posters rights campaign.

This would be the perfect word to bring our thread into its 92,000th post. Unfortunately I cant, due to my lowly registered user status, however im sure one of you nutjobs will put on a nice display for 92k.

Why do some posters revel in players/managers doing badly?

saintmatt, I think you have summed up our beloved mboard perfectly there! LOL, classic Alpine thread! again: -
Eight pages in and this is where you have all ended up, well done. Those getting sucked into this nonsense should really know better. If you all step back for a minute and consider the content of this thread, im sure you will be as disgusted as I am.

I have been of this opinion for quite some time (check out Hypochondriacs location, the mug!). The Cortese v Katharina showdown this summer was to do with this too IMO. Katharina was ready to get out but Cortese wasnt ready to facilitate an exit, if Katharina pulled out NC and MP said they would walk too, which would have seriously damaged Markus' legacy. It was reported at the time IIRC in some publications that NC had a small shareholding, maybe that is growing bit by bit, funded by Vibracs off shore lending + interest. Maybe he has a new five year plan?.. Mind you, the Staplewood developments make sense and I am merely a nutjob anyway.

I guess that is why he is happy being filmed in the skate shop looking like a tramp. The bestest keyboard warriors in the land. Connolly is being touted as Whittinghams successor on POL in a hero/villain style thread.

factless and his mob praised the contract to great fanfare... ten games IIRC, 20 odd % of the season, LOL. Im sure he will put in a quick shift in a few games time just to keep his income as secure as it can possibly be when working for skate. LOL, very good!

PMSL http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/boss-pompey-will-never-overspend-again-1-5592523 LOL LOL Classic skate quotations

I suspect this type of behaviour got his back up!

That protest has almost doubled since the initial report IIRC, incredible that the community club is looking to not only take their local business community out, but to also blackmail and threaten them whilst they do it. I’m torn between supporting the 2000+ campaign to stop the PDT, or to support the PDT in land-locking the club forever. As many people that joined the trust, are protesting against the trusts first major move, which I find interesting. Good, if they think all skates are 100% behind the PDT, and that all objectors are merely scummahs, they have a problem.

He is being advised by those in power in both the government and the city.
