poor old Champagne Iain has been struck down by an appalling hangover all of a sudden! Absolute GOLD, thank you skates and thank you Mr Barker
-
The problem the skates had, was that for all those player sales, they had never actually paid anything for them in the first instance, so the were just passing money through the club, laundry style. I think the Glen Johnson/Crouch scenario is a good example. staggering to think that so much could 'wash' through a tinpot outfit like pompey, though even Roman Dubov went on the record to state 'over half a billion pounds went through the club and there is nothing to show for it'. Old arry and storrie really did a number on them whilst pulling in their 5-10% commission fees on player signings and sales!

Quite a few of them in block 45, they were trolling the Saints fans! -
I wonder what kind of contingency Robbo will have in place if the skates blow up again, he should probably speak to Chinny.

Straight red! WTFILN

Which way will Penny swing/flop her PR campaign? There are votes at stake for or against. FWIW Im against!

You cant buy loyalty like that, you really cant! That is right up there with Pennys latest bluewhale PR stunt, and Chesney Hawkes world breaking air guitar attempt at fatpipes! Pennys triple rotation wardrobe fly-tip demonstration Pompey taking on Los Angeles, boastful of setting a new world air guitar record, requirement 2500 mongs, fratton park mustered 250 and a CWTB

Sounds like the pst are being marginalised now that the pdt are in with Tesco. It cant be easy for them to operate having #factless as their primary source of information.

No need, hope is fading away!:

I have been thoroughly enjoying catching up on this bestest following my absence over the last few weeks, then I scrolled onto this piece of gold. A great, in-depth analysis CORPY, LOL and PMSL at all your stats, what a pleasure for the eyes. Welcome to League Two you filthy skate c*nt.

Good luck Ralph! KL on the scene once again, good to see!

The monthly compromise wage bill will be absolutely massive, the bestest paid-for-yet-non-playing squad in the FL I imagine! Increased budgets, paying off long contracts for little Jonny Ertl and the gang, they really are rolling in cash it seems That is interesting, I thought the man who lifted the cup was suing the club for his wages owed? I forget which trading entity he is suing though, PFC2010 or the one before that? Sol was before the compromise days, maybe they have completely forgetten about the hero turned villain and his multi million £ debt.. though perhaps the PFA (with their fixed and floating charges on PFC assets) hasnt? Indeed Barker was keen to upgrade the mascot/mark - Young Ernest has actually just taken all the two year contracts off pompeys hands.

Reed was in agreement on the idea of a proper B league. I agreed with his argument, that a club should not spend many years and large amounts of money & resources building up a player from a young age, only to farm out your most promising talent to a lower league club, where you have no real control anymore. I guess it would be like changing schools after five years to complete your final term, different teachers, environment etc. I thought Reed was excellent in an interesting debate.

IMF study finds inequality is damaging to economic growth

I believe the target gross tax take per person is about 70% all in when VAT, fuel duty, vehicle excise and the rest are accounted for! -
Is this what KL was writing for 90 minutes at the WHU game?
-
PL club ownership certainly takes you onto the global stage (even if your firm was international in the first place). Completely different examples, but I had never heard of Tony Fernandes (and his extremely murky background), Vincent Tan or the chicken farmers Venkys prior to their PL ownership! If SFC is good value for the Liebherr brand, brilliant. FF in my opinion the game is now way beyond anything other than the style of ownership we have, and it will be a USA style sport with all the marketing sh*te to boot in the future. The other options for traditionalists is to look towards the skates for an alternative. For true fan owned and run, if thats what you want, Eastleigh will provide that, give them a five figure sum in sponsorship and you could probably ask for a directorship too?! KL going to WHU away was a great sign for me.

I enjoyed a mates rant about the whole buy-to-let market recently. Im not sure what its like north of London, but south of it rents are often a fair % higher than mortgage repayments. He argued that the buy-to-letters are sucking up all the entry level properties, to the point that he was having difficulty getting even a viewing before an investor had bought it up for the rental market! So in this case, even with the mortgage ready to go, the buy-to-letters are snapping up all the available properties, which ironically cuts out the supply of houses and pushes the property price market up further! I suspect this was all pre-planned in the 80's, the Benyon family as mentioned in the OP article, amognst others, were no doubt very well briefed on the future.

put it this way, ive had three cups of coffee this morning. You just have to reset your cookies, or jump across to another browser (explorer, firefox, chrome etc). You dont need to, but its easy to get pompey postcodes to add legitimacy, just search for some pubs in the city. I look forward to premium wifi next year and I am very much willing to pay. 41. Which of the following non-match-day events at Fratton Park have you attended and/or booked in the past two years? (tick any that apply) X Wedding Comments: The bride hated it and now we are separated. Wouldn’t recommend.
-
If anyone needs a pompey postcode just look up one of the pubs in southsea, plenty on the end of small roads which will provide you with a nice local postcode. I was a true inbred skate from the peoples republic of portsea. My answers will contradict themselves, though it would come accross as genuine (just stupid). More instruments please. I hope they prioritise all spending on the transfer budget, and we need a new manager, or I do not renew or invest further in PFC. They can forget about park and ride, I live in the peoples republic and I will continue to drive to fatpipes, I expect somewhere to park, though I am against tescos. I will say no more so that my survey is taken as genuine, but it was fantastic fun.

superb Indeed, Miland development owned the land, the land was Mandarichs, then Gadymacks. #factless just makes it up as he goes along in his articles about the former land ownership that should be a pompey cash cow I love a bit of notalgia:

LOL Sorry, hang on, residing in the shadows of fatpipes? LOL Neil, that supermarket is taking fatpipes off the map, visitors to the peoples republic will now drive by without ever seeing the tatty timber tabernacle, it is essentially invisible to anyone without a helicopter. Corpy - is this where the £20m is going? You skates have been royally, royally done on this deal. LOL and how much is he retaining for his pension with Tesco? Outstanding admissions in #factless' article PMSL Ah, fine negotiations, why not describe it like you have the Spurs fans deal, eyewatering LOL, with what? And why, isnt fatpipes one fith empty week in week out? EH? Brilliant.. As part of his agreement, he is to hand the club a ‘substantial sum’ running into seven figures, the precise details unwilling to be revealed by those involved as it is deemed ‘commercially sensitive’. Crucially, it will not be enough to bankroll the construction of a stand All that build up for the skate readers, then BOOM, #factless drops the bombshell! Essential, nice choice of words #factless. Fund raising didnt work very well last time (in fact, its still on-going, the share conversion team, 8yr olds pocket money etc), Robinson and the council bailed the fans out. That article is a nice compilation of exactly how they have completely crippled themselves for the future, whilst handing over all potential to those who are already making significant gains on their side of the deal. LOL, skates, its all in the quotes above, you have f*cked yourself whilst being f*cked by Robinson, Tesco PLC and the PDT. That was a great article, I am becoming quite a fan! Shalala!

The club is no longer run FOR the fans...............
holepuncture replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
IIRC there was some debate towards the end of the last season as to the final PL places and how much each position upwards is worth to a club. So, I guess the opportunity cost is, [1] a punt on the cup could yield £1-3m in additional revenue, [2] or a punt on 6/7/8/9th place could yield £2/3/5/9m additional revenue If you were a magic circle firm advising KL, then option two is the only definate opportunity, with the greater return. MLG can you confirm? Indeed it has, though I think Saints fans have a better perspective than many though due to our 27 PL years, the PLC reverse takeover, the admins and the pheonix from League 1. Put another way, whilst we have experienced the above, I have many plastic friends who have spent the last ten years doing nothing other than gobbing off about Man Utd, Fergie, Van Nistlerooy and Rooney! This guy called it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irving_Scholar But was that a good thing? Chorley and the gang mouthing off on soap boxes, thirty peices of silver being thrown at Lowe (... what a thought LOL), public power struggles between the major shareholders some of whom were fans, all whilst watching the share value plummet from 50p to 9p as a result of the circus on and off the pitch! I have no doubt NC or KL are/were too worried about the fans feelings, though at least with NC we had a shared agenda, him taking his cash was his side of the deal, happy-clappy fans and back-to-back promotions was our side of the deal. KL dosent need cash. With KL in the building, surrounded by the magic circle etc, it feels a little more corporate, like the old SLH days but without the fan on the board mentality, or those thirty beautiful pieces of silver slapping Lowe in the face. That plastic veneer may be getting shinier by the day, though we are in a much better place than I have known before. IMO. -
To their employer I imagine that will rightly look like a total waste of wages and resources. They have managed to demonstrate to their employer, via video published online in the public domain, that (at least) two of those three are not gainfully employed in any way, they are simply on the take, blagging their way into press boxes, having a jolly on other peoples money! Amatuer! Mind you, it is mostly nutjobs clicking through to these links, just to have a laugh at #factless and the gang, so perhaps this wonderful piece is for purely for our entertainment.
