I think the frustration people have with JWP is that he hasn't really developed as far as we'd hoped in the three years since he made his prem debut at City. I think this is a big season for him. Last season he started well but suffered an injury at a fairly crucial time and didn't really recover the momentum I thought he had started with. As a club we've been spoilt with young talent and I fear we judge our academy output against Bale standards. My view on JWP is that he is a solid, if not spectacular 20 year old who has demonstrated very high professional standards, hopefully he can improve further.
