A perfect illustration of why you should never vote Labour again
Colinjb replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Absolutely, yet the attitude of dipping into Credit cards as a matter of course has become a cultural norm now. The acceptance of debt as something that is freely available to all with very little asked is terrifying. I once decided to see how much 'money' I could get access to immediately (yes it was a slow night) and I was stunned when HSBC immediately, and via an online calculation agreed to extend my overdraft by thousands, would offer me a loan with no questions asked and would increase the limits on my credit cards. All in I worked out that I could obtain £20,000 WITHOUT SO MUCH AS AN INTERVIEW and with no difficulty whatsoever. It is no wonder there are people in difficulty when they can so easily obtain such sums. There is such little realisation of the long term repurcussions that it's no wonder many people are in trouble. -
How is the game? I've switched over to some boxing now.

Sorry, but the concept of debt being a destructive influence is something Labouristas will never truly grasp. Live the dream and burden our children for the decadence. So selfish. -
Oh, he was excellent for us, arguably never the same player (apart from a short time at Stoke) after he went.

That game took a while to get going but a great last ten minutes. Lovely finish for Guinea's goal and a shocking defensive lapse by Libya to allow it. Then it was end to end stuff. Great start to the tournament.

Yes. Absolutely.
-
The lesson? As the Charlton player discovered, never keep a man away from his muffins.
-
Having seen us let a 7 point lead slip I wouldn't put anything as impossible in this daft league.
-
What a wonderful sentiment.

Small steps first mate. A win on Monday night would be a good start. Frankly, i'm more concerned about the gap to 3rd rather then an outright league win, to be in this position right now is still something of a dream.

It may seem that he hasn't had the intelligence to make the most of it though. He will have to get a proper job at some point pressumably. Having said that, I remember reading somewhere that he is on something like 5k a week? Over five years that's about £1.3 million pounds. And say he paid 40% on tax then he will still have taken in in excess of £750,000 from Southampton Football Club. An absolute scandal.

How kind of you to notice. I really enjoyed following the Cup of Nations on the BBC a few years ago, was quite a shame to see that they havn't continued with it. Hopefully the 'crowd control' measures being used by the authorities are not too heavy. The use of tear gas sadly suggests otherwise. Equatorial Guinea v Libya is on now, as mentioned previous, kudos to Libya for actually qualifying in the first place.

Most random player name you've had on the back of your shirt?

djk2g09 and SteveStone Two more Pet Skates for us to toy with? -
F**king Skates can't do anything right!!!
-
Ha, I'll take that right now. It's the hope that'll kill them.
-
Don't know, don't care.

Pressumably to give 'Big' Sam extra time to put his half time pie order in.
-
Wham are winning. A Pen after about 28 minutes of injury time at the end of the first half. Well, that works for my accumulator today
-
Get in there Cov!!!!!
-
Even the journalists and attitude of the local media is deluded. A Tax FIGHT!? Tax is not an optional extra, it is a fact of existence in the United Kingdom. F**king vermin, parasitic vermin, the lot of them.

I have the same but on the White/red trim away kit from 01-03. Did anyone get a Leandre Griffit shirt? -
Nope, bad maths. That's fair.
-
Wow! A 29 year old Russian tycoon, that's the kind of forward thinking that kept TVR at the top of their game.
-
Should I prepare the grill? Some Hovis is on standby.

Well, if the Skates are 48 hours from liquidation (as said in the almighty thread in the off topic section) then we have an 8 point gap over Wham.
