  1. Millwall also did a similar thing for an away trip to Leeds a few years ago. Leicester Forest East services (and all within) didn't know what hit it!!!
  2. I look forward to the Installation stalling then..... And being unable to disconnect the damn phone from the computer when I need some sleep ahead of work tomorrow...... Wonderful.
  3. I shall be enjoying a long weekend on the Island with my better half and the 3 year old. I need ideas to keep us occupied...... Saintsweb, I am at your 'mercy.'
  4. A Cardiff supporting friend of mine had to drive back to Cardiff from Coventry in order to go to an away day at Leicester under a similar scheme. After some pleading on the phone and consultation of their customer records they eventually relented and picked him up from Corley services on the M6. And he duly picked up his ticket on one of the coaches. It is a system used by a few others clubs, particularly the ones with higher reputations for misbehaviour.
  5. It's not just the US, check out any 'foreign' influence on a nation. The fall out from the end of the old British Empire is just as good an example as any.
  6. They are nothing without the teams they must play every week. Let the 14 clubs outside of the big few join together and tell them to f**k off.... they'll soon fall back in. It would never work long term anyway, just look at Italy, the market for Serie A nosedived when it became uncompetitive.
  7. Used to go to Highfield Road a lot, used to be good there, a decent bit of atmosphere, not a long walk from town and the various pubs. Compared to the Ricoh Arena it was just better in every respect for a fan. (Aside from the filly things such as toilets, queues, leg room...... You know, the things that make it just another sterile shed.)
  8. When we were singing 'Kelvin for England' back in November 2007, you know we were joking, right!?
  9. I get '12.' Not great at all.
  10. The new Evanescence album is currently on 'repeat' on my iPhone whilst driving from appointment to appointment. For anyone into Metal/Rock or similar I would highly recommend it, much better then their last album and without the commercially friendly feel of their debut. It's also surprisingly varied in it's approach, ranging from dancing influences through to the more symphonic stuff that has been seen from them before.
  11. Watched Senna last night for the first time. Both the extended cut and the theatrical version. An absolutely brilliant film, utterly gripping and also enjoyed by my F1 ignorant housemate, she was gasping in horror at the point when Senna ran Prost off the road in Japan 1990 and had a tear rolling down her face when the crash at Imola 1994 was shown. That a non-F1-ista can be wrapped up that closely in the narrative says it all for me. It's a phenomenal film. The only word of warning is that the extended cut isn't particularly well editted, the theatrical version is just right, lean, to the point and encompassing all of the emotion/comment and footage that is required.
  12. It seems that Codemaster's physics model is a little off. Increasing the stiffness to max (11 front, 11 rear) does improve braking and car stability to a quite odd degree. You can get quite a noticably performance improvement by making these adjustments. Using this it is possible to perform such notbale feats as taking Eau Rouge flat with DRS activated and turn into corners while breaking without losing control of the car.
  13. Yes, absolutely immaculate timing.
  14. "Cotterill has done an impressive job at P**tsm**th on a limited budget." Come on then, who's going to tell them. Any volunteers?
  15. That was my thinking. When you are top of the league you are there to be shot at, teams will consider you as something of a scalp.
  16. Nice of them to schedule it during an international break.
  17. Yes. I finished my first season with my Hispania performing at the back of the midfield. After a few races into the second season, i'm relieved that the development work has carried over. Now i'm working towards it being a regular points finisher.
  18. Thanks to our position, every game right now is a cup final. This month can help define how our season goes but that could be said for any month while we are top of the league.
  19. If in doubt.... College Street. After parking dart over the nearby bridge and straight up into the stadium.
  20. Take it as a blessing. New Year's eve is free.
  21. Don't get me wrong, the incentive is there to go up and yes, being a big fish in a small pond will never have the same allure for many but it's all about the relative feeling and atmosphere. Right now everything is overwhelmingly positive, a few home draws against Wigan and Blackburn could soon change that though. Winning a cup every ten years though? Considering the domination of competitions recently by the bigger names (only Leicester, Brum and the Blue Cancer down the road have won anything in the past 17 years outside of the champions league qualifiers) simply getting satisfaction out of mid-table or survival would become the norm again. And frankly, that isn't that satisfying.... the extra exposure we would get at the level and knowledge that Saints are more 'known' should be enough to hopefully compensate.
  22. In the JPT last season, Charlie 'Thorn-in-the-side' Austin got the other two. I had totally forgotten about it until I watched the last year 'goals' DVD a few nights ago.
  23. Not sure about fear of failure or success, but over the last year and a half we have found ourselves in a comfort zone of expecting to win more games then we lose. If we go up to the Premiership that would become a thing of the past. Even a good season would probably at most bring 7th-8th place.... and that's if we REALLY sorted ourselves out at that level. A season like that would also bring just as many loses as wins, for many people would the 'fun' factor be gone? Would the relative 'success' not have the same positive effect as the highs of a promotion season?
  24. Over a day without a response. I'll take the result as read, Richardson just edges it ahead of Rickie.
