I think when you look at who other clubs have hired there isn’t a huge amount of realistic and decent managers out there. It’s a very small pool, and not many are much of an improvement on Will Still. But Tonda has got some kind of tune out of this lot, so there’s no harm in sticking with him for now. SR can’t win, unless we get promoted.

Sport Republic have screwed up that many times that they’re now damned if they do and damned if they don’t. Fans are done with them. It was only going to be a matter of time before TE lost his first game, it didn’t matter if it was his fifth game or his fifteenth game, but as soon as he loses its eyes back on SR.

Tonda Eckhart is Sport Republic’s guy. It’s all about timing to announce it. I wasn’t against him after four wins in a row. I became alarmed when he said Aribo had played really well in his appearances - that is scary in itself.
-
I mean you suggested high-flying, European tournament team manager Liam Rosenior a month ago, so maybe take a chill pill. 😂 Also Daniel Farke I think would be great. But he isn’t getting sacked on a Sunday and taking over at Saints on the Monday.
-
It will be Tonda Eckhart now. They’ve started aligning the rest of the coaching teams. Adam Lallana moving to the U21’s for a start. Tonda is either staying as part of the new coaching team, leaving or will be the new head coach - but he will be the new head coach.

This is quite funny to read now. I’m in the camp of I don’t really give a shit who is in charge as long as we win and perform. Ultimately I think Tonda will get the job until at least the end of the season. But I have huge reservations still about our formation, give at the back simply invites pressure and nullifies any attacking threat - that is basic stuff. I’m also concerned about his persistence in bringing players like Aribo on when they clearly aren’t interested, over a youngster, which as must as a risk as it may be, I’d rather have them. Another KEY point is that most of these players are not that great. A new manager will get them playing better, but they won’t become Man City overnight, if ever. I think this conspiracy theory of “SR want to play five at the back, Jack Stephens runs the club” kind of bollocks needs to stop. That is very pathetic in itself, and with absolutely no substance to that.

Tonda’s first official game in charge will finish in a scrappy 1-1 draw. 👀😅

It’s all kicking off 🍿

Joe Aribo - Official: Loaned to Leicester
Willo of Whiteley replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I hope he doesn’t play for the club again. Very simple. -
SR are creaming themselves over a guy that has four managerial wins. He’ll be announced I’m sure of it
-
He’ll be announced by 10am on Monday
-
The thing that concerns me is that he brings Aribo on. That in itself is alarming.
-
Tonda has already got the job.

Bazunu is at fault for the third goal. But the outfield players have a lot to answer for. Abysmal lack of closing down for their first and second goals.
-
Wow there are some absolute fannies on here. At a glance of the goals: Saints first: good penalty Millwall first: abysmal closing down. There isn’t on Bazunu, not his fault the entire defence and midfield was five metres to the side allowing a clear shot at goal. Millwall second: Again, not on Bazunu, terrible closing down, again! Saints second: fortunate but well taken. Millwall winner: Shambolic on all fronts. Bazunu and defence.

Tonda out. 😂
-
Almost as good as when Dave Merrington used to say “they won’t want to concede now” right after a team goes ahead.
-
Wasn’t aware Rasmus was regularly involved with the starting XI of games 😂
-
Definitely a draw here. We’re a different team without Scienza.
-
I wouldn’t say anyone is looking particularly “stand out” in our league aside from Coventry, and even then when I’ve seen them I wouldn’t say they’ve played spectacularly, they’re just brilliant at taking chances. League and promotion places are truly up for grabs!
-
To be honest it’s aged as well as my post in the match thread last night saying the game had 0-0 written all over it, we scored thirty seconds later. 😂
-
THB speaking very highly of Tonda Eckhart. Talks about his clarity and game plan is very straightforward. Leo: Give Tonda the job
-
The table looking a lot tastier now. Fair play to Tonda Eckhart, not afraid to make a couple of bold decisions around the starting eleven. Not a bad performance from anyone. Might be worth a mention to Gavin Bazunu for his save at 1-0. Without that the game could’ve gone in a very different direction.

Can Sky not tell the difference between Alex McCarthy and Leo Scienza? 🤦🏻♂️

Need a fourth to really make Leicester players erupt. Frustrations kicking in now.
