If there was to be a six month plus ban then the Southampton hierarchy will look utterly ridiculous in all their decision making. You can’t function on an interim manager for over half a season when you’re looking to get promoted. It would also make them look more stupid and naive having backed him in the transfer market.

He was always an average player, but it’s easier to look incredible when most of your teammates are awful. Tyler Dibling was exactly the same in that season. Some flair but not much more.

Anything for than a two-three month ban messes up a lot of things. We’d have to replace him if we are serious about promotion. But you have to trust there is a legitimate plan in place and not just Ben Garner or Adam Lallana standing in. What a shitshow that would be. With the likes of Matt Le Tissier close to the board you would hope be saying “don’t pull a fast one on the fans”.

I don’t see the club sticking with Tonda if he’s given a six month ban. But I do see them sticking with Ben Garner which absolutely terrifies me.

Just read the interview in detail. It’s not the worst piece ever written, you just have to trust that Parsons, the lawyers and the board have got their facts correct and laid everything out. The club and the fans have been punished enough. To give a lengthy ban would be to then hinder the club further when damage has already been done.

I mean he was ineffective his first few games then hasn’t been picked since. He hasn’t looked great, but then again I think any player not playing regularly generally is poor. Certainly for us anyway.

Edozie shouldn’t even be in the squad. He’s done nothing to justify playing, thrown his toys out the pram and now he makes the odd cameo to do nothing.
