Wtf is the “sprint season”? Endnof the 2027 season reads Christmas 2027 to me given that their season runs March to October. Is this the case?

And rightly so.

A couple of those candidates look like the kind that ask about stadium expansion at St Mary’s.

If he is still here after those windows have closed I will be surprised; but on the flip side I won’t. In terms of form and ability over recent years he’s hardly done anything to justify someone taking on his stupidly high wages, so he’s within his rights to sit on his hands and do nothing. If he wants to go and play football, then like Sam Edozie needs to do, take the financial hit, it’s not like you need it, and go and play elsewhere. If he is still here it would be a bit scandalous to not even have him on the bench ahead of George Long.

I don’t think this window can be judged properly for a couple of months, depending on form and injuries etc It looks weak on the face of it right now, but equally we’ve scored ten goals in four games and from a number of players so just need to keep that kind of record

You can’t blame players like Ramsdale or Edozie if they do choose to sit on their contracts which will be lucrative amounts anyway, it’s what they and the club agreed to, that’s ridiculous but fine. What is ridiculous is if they turn around (like Edozie has done) and say “I just want to play football” and then turn down accepted bids because presumably they aren’t up to the level you wanted. Hate to break it to Sam but beggars can’t be choosers, and he has done nothing of note for two and a half years now. Maybe making a step backwards to take two forwards is best for you, and if you’re that concerned about playing then either pull your finger out and show you are good enough or lower your wage demands.

It sounds like Damion Downs to the MLS is all but done, will be interesting to see what kind of deal is structured given their season ends in November and starts up again in March. The most prolific winger in the world Sam Edozie still lingers around the club as Barca didn’t come calling. Aaron Ramsdale to Turkey picking up legs, beggars can’t be choosers anymore. All he’s proved in the last few years is that he is not a £100K p/w goalkeeper.

But on this occasion Leicester won. So there’s no joy in that.

This HAS to be a seriously good win if we’re serious about promotion.

Larios was permanently injured. Add him to the SR masterclass window that saw us by Bazunu, and Edozie. Speaking of which, I wonder what the Edozie camp mood will be this morning in training. Guessing the Barca call never came. 🤣

Very underwhelming on the whole. Peretz and Larin at the start and I was thinking wow! Always expected to lose a minimum of a couple of our more highly valued players so no biggy there, but we needed a replacement to go alongside THB, not just a replacement for him himself. JWP good signing. Still feel we lack any form of muscle in midfield, got to be one of the smallest midfields (in terms of height) in the league. GK?!?! Long second choice and now 300 year old Jamie Jones as third - Jesus Christ. Feeling underwhelmed. Did Damion Downs go? Fringe players mostly left on loan. Ramsdale still here, he’lll surely go to Turkey. Edozie still here - LOL, but also FFS. Attacking threat looks weak for a promotion chasing side.

Hull on a mad one tonight, three signings announced in the last hour.

Keven Clusterfuck at times tonight. Good header though. Overall impressed by what I’ve seen so far.

But in my defence I wasn’t the one screaming for Ballard and kicking my toys out the pram saying “it’s a mistake we let him go”. He wasn’t good enough at the time. Simply as that. It’s great that he’s kicked on in his career but he isn’t what we need. Attacking wise we need strength down the middle and pace out wide. A couple of injuries and we are woefully light.

Our attacking options are unbelievably weak. And most are very hot and miss in terms of form.

And we’re relying on two youth players to assist our promotion charge. I’d say I’m more underwhelmed now, after the signings of Larin and Peretz early in the window I thought we’d kick on a bit.

All tonight did was reemphasise how underwhelming our attacking options are from the bench.

Maybe panic buy a striker, winger, centre mid and centre back over the next two hours please

Again, what's this based on? A handful of appearances compared to Manning, who has done very well oevrall since he became a Saints player, or Welington who hasn't been as prolific but certainly hasn't been shit when he's played. I just don't get the logic in how you can say that Meghoma is a better choice LB. Even Manning played decent in the Premier League compared to some of the clowns that season.

And what's your basis for Meghoma being good enough for the Premier League? Football Manager? FIFA?
