  1. If the club kept Tonda, that’s a bold fucking call. And the problem with that is you will never say the “positive vibes” with that until you see: 1) Who is left at the end of the summer 2) Depending on our league form That’s another big risk that I don’t think Sport Republic can take, that’s not including the loss in revenue, sponsorships, damage that has been caused etc. But then we’re going down the route of player power and that isn’t something that we want.
  2. In contrast to Glenn’s views on TSP, Steve also made the point of “I wonder what the players think?” Obviously we don’t know what was said but it would be interesting how many he players would want Tonda to stick around. It would be equally interesting to know what the players mindsets are in regards to if he stayed or went - what would they prefer? Would that affect their decision?
  3. All of the above is what Glenn said on Total Saints Podcast last night - certainly not wrong
  4. I think they were too cocky, borderline oblivious to the whole situation and didn’t take it seriously Sums SR up really
  5. The whole squad yes, your Downs’, Brereton’s, Ramsdale’s - then yes. We’ll cash in on a few but I think that’ll be it
  6. @L1Minus10 Glen summed it up perfectly yesterday, any other business this is an issue, the club has been brought into disrepute because of his and potential others actions. It should be a no brainer. Tonda Eckhart shouldn’t be at the club anymore, his career here is over.
  7. If Saints are waiting for the FA so they don’t come off as the bad guy - just get on with it. We already look incompetent.
  8. There was a good discussion about this on TSP last night and it’s spot on really, my opinion differs slightly. But ultimately I think Shea Charles, Casper Jander and Taylor Harwood-Bellis will, and are the most likely to leave. I think Leo Scienza is one that could stay for another year. The dust needs to settle first on the back of all this. With that in mind it might mean that the likes of Joshua Quarshie, Moses Sesay, Cameron Bragg step up or have to step up for next season. I’ve seen a few people mention Finn Azaz or Tom Fellows going but I don’t think they’ve done enough to warrant a bigger move as such. Aaron Ramsdale will be gone simply because of wages and he doesn’t want to be there. Goalkeeping-wise you have Alex McCarthy and Jamie Jones out of contract, leaving you with Gavin Bazunu, so there will need to be a minimum of two goalkeeping seasons this summer. Other out of contract players include James Bree, Ross Stewart - the two that two weeks ago I don’t think we’d have had any trouble keeping, but given the scandal and call up for the World Cup, will he or they get better offers in a months time? Will Smallbone and Joe Aribo are both done. After all of the above, you’re left with players returning from loans; as mentioned Aaraon Ramsdale will be gone. Ben Brereton-Diaz, Damion Downs, Gavin Bazunu as mentioned and Yuki Sugawara. All of the above retuning from loan, is there a way back into the fold for them? Probably not, and hopefully not. It’s going to be a summer of change, and as long as the manager position is in question who would want to sign? If I was a player I’d be wanting clarity on how the club plans to move forward.
  9. Shout out to West Ham Central twitter account who last night made their account private - I wonder why 🤣
  10. No, but that’s the fact, his or certain people’s actions cost us that opportunity to progress. You can’t deny the results, but this has now happened and the club has to distance itself.
  11. Chelsea won’t be playing in Europe next season - hahahha!
  12. Good debate about this topic on Total Saints Podcast tonight
  13. As much as their board/owners are pretty “questionable”, West Ham’s statement to being relegated got me more pumped for them for next season.
  14. Everton are the least dependable team away from home. Spurs were always safe. De Zerbi’s reaction at full time is both hilarious and pathetic, as were the Spurs players when they scored their goal. Celebrating like they won the league the day their rivals lift the trophy. The Spursiest reaction ever. On a side note, fantastic move for Tyler Dibling, did he rack up more than ten minutes this season?
  15. I don’t think they’ll be a mass exodus of the players we currently have (ignoring the ones out on loan)
  16. Somehow they’ve made it worse. Either do the whole thing or not at all.
  17. A freeze on season tickets is super lenient. There should be reductions. Entice people in, get bums on seats, they’ll make up the money in a buzzing atmosphere in terms of food, beverage and merchandise.
  18. And the silence will continue 👀 The FAB is the equivalent of a streets “neighbourhood watch”. Nothing productive comes of it, usually waffle by the same nosy busy-body. 😂
  19. Middlesbrough socials all non-existent in the last 13 hours. Maybe all the stolen phones have been returned to their rightful owners 🤷🏻‍♂️
  20. Middlesbrough fan socials are quiet 👀😂
  21. Simon Peach has got a fantastic photo on his socials of McBurnie’s celebration in front of the Middlesbrough fans when he scored. If you zoom in it’s a sea of red and white hands on heads in disbelief. 😂😂😂😂
  22. Best kit in some recent years, I liked the home one two years ago but if this is legit I’m delighted we’re going back to stripes. Hopefully stripes on the back, maybe navyish shorts?
  23. It’ll probably still be our fault 😂
  24. Imagine make the trip down to Southampton - and losing and sulking all the way home; then just over a week later going down to Wembley, losing and heading home. What a trip! 🤣
