I’m also basing it on the fact that 99% of the fan base said how average our defence was two years ago, how many goals we conceded and how we didn’t sign good enough players for the Premier League. If he couldn’t hack it playing against us four times that season then what benefit is he? Has he kicked on since then? Especially if we’re looking to go up again, surely we want better players?

Tom Fellows didn’t look all that in the games we played against West Brom two years ago 😅 He’ll fit right in

Second load of shit I read today and it’s only 9:40 🤣

I find it incredible this thread gets almost daily updates. Where’s Mark Wotte’s thread? Or Alan Pardew’s? Or Ruben Selles’? Come on guys! The bias is huge! 🤣

A quick Twitter search show nothing of the sort. It’s absolute bollocks. 😂

Are Stills hands tied regarding Stephens and Bazunu ?
Willo of Whiteley replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
Nope. You’ve made that conspiracy in your head. Bazunu has had a good pre-season overall, you can’t fault him much. Stephens in club captain, and as much as he isn’t the best, we’ve arguably played better with him in the side. I don’t think he’s ever a worthy starter but to imply that Will Still has his hands tied is ridiculous. -
Rento Takaoka has gone to sister-club in France. Shock 🤣

Well that’s absolute bollocks 😂

Tyler Dibling - Official: Signs for Everton
Willo of Whiteley replied to Dusic's topic in The Saints
Are there some on here believing the teenager from Norwich who’s tweeting transfer news about Everton for Tyler Dibling? 🤣 -
Saints by the sounds of it saying “pay up or bugger off”. Another reason why I’m not overly bothered about if Dibling stays or goes.

Tyler Dibling - Official: Signs for Everton

Saints going down the “put up or shut up” route 👍🏻 -
Excellent write-up by Clarkey so far (above). I’m still not convinced with Dibling, yes there’s been lots of rumours but I also think there’s been a lot of news outlets or “journos” jumping on the bandwagon copying and pasting. Steve Grant made a good point on Total Saints Podcast this week; in that if you’re a top six club you’d be wanting more than two goals a season which is all he has managed in the Premier League and also you look at Everton, they will have financial constraints on them, they will have a limit but is it somewhere you’d have put Dibling to go to, probably not, I can see another mid-table team like Man United putting in a stupid last ditch bid but Everton will have a ceiling.

There’s a lot of overreaction on this thread in regards to Dibling and Fernandes. 😂 ”Good players admired by multiple teams”. Who knew? 🤷🏻♂️🤣
-
As things stand Saido Berahino has had more impact as a teenager in the Premier League than Tyler Dibling has. Let that sink in. £40m for a kid who supposedly doesn’t want to be here, hasn’t proved anything yet, just has “potential”.
-
Dibling scored two league goals last season. Everton is probably his level providing he plays regularly. I’m sure bigger clubs will want more for their money.

Did you hear the disappointment in their voices after our play off final win against Leeds? 🤣 Those clowns were devastated
-
Second Tier Podcast is the perfect name for it. They had the biggest agenda against us two years back 🤣
-
All hypothetical, but say Saints signed Rak-Sakyi, Brownhill and say an established Chanpionship/PL goalkeeper - that lifts everyone at the club straight away. I just fee well try to be “clever” and recruit cheaply from abroad and risk non-established players.
-
I don’t think he’s terrible, he isn’t the worst, but he’s definitely a long way from the best; and that’s the problem right there.
-
Number two, fine I can live with that, but Bazunu and McCarthy as the two main keepers is saddening.
-
Bazunu will be our goalkeeper for the season. I don’t see it being a position they want to target.

Ladies, calm down, back on point 😂 Saints have a good Championship squad, it should dwarf many other Championship teams. But that only works assuming the players are committed and aligned; not “hurting” because they’re all playing with the same shit teammates from last season. They'll be half the division eyeing promotion or being there or there abouts. We should be eyeing autos, if not the title in theory. But who seriously on this forum, currently thinks we are the kind of team to gun for the title? Like Leicester and Burnley have done in recent seasons? Or Fulham in previous? You need those sparks to make a difference, they aren’t easy to replace. But their needs to be some positivity injected into the club through new signings.
