EFL have been actively looking at alternative Wembley dates and alternative venues. Not saying it's going to happen but they are preparing for a delay.

Really pissing off one club with an (arguably) disproportionate penalty is far easier than pissing off 23 others. As I said earlier today, all of the evidence is against us and there is a real appetite to expel us.

EFL currently looking at possible alternative venues and moving the date of the Play Off Final. Any decision re: Spygate has to be made before the game and 10 days may not be enough time to investigate, reach conclusions and pass sentence. None of this bodes well for us.

Archer is so obviously a confidence player so I think we all need to think carefully whether we’re helping when we pile in on a player in a poor spell of form. Also interesting that you don’t mention his goals v Arsenal and Liverpool which were clear evidence of his ability and far from ‘inadequate’. Focussing on the negative doesn’t help.

So many on here have slagged Archer off consistently and wanted Tonda gone in Jan. We’re a fickle bunch aren’t we!

The fact you can audibly hear him bellow ‘Keeper’s’ when he comes for the ball is also a massive sign of personality. He’s not perfect but his character alone is an enormous upgrade.

Finn Azaz is undeniably a technically talented footballer, but when you’re in the trenches fighting for every point he goes missing and doesn’t put his body on the line. He’s a luxury player, with poor physicality and I’m not sure at this stage of the season that’s what we need. Charles in the 10 with Downes and Jander 6 and 8 for the run-in please.

Miles Leaburn turned the game in their favour as he started beating up our defenders. One to watch.

Lost control and composure when Charles came off. Best player on the pitch. I know it’s difficult managing minutes of players returning from injury but at this stage of the season you need to be ruthless.

Any side can put in a shocking first half and go in 3-0 down. Good sides respond and come out fighting. It’s the total predictability that we wouldn’t show any character, spirit or intent in the second half that is so depressing. Any side with those characteristics beats us.

I also think that Scienza would come alive at Wembley, so in the unlikely (but not impossible) event of us getting there, we would win it.

Azaz can be brilliant at this level but would be eaten alive in the PL. The physicality and speed would see him retreat into his shell, as we've seen in several games this season at a much lower level.

A new manager would be the first name on the shopping list.

Agreed. They all know that Saints have by far and away the greater earning potential which is the key factor for them. It is a boneheaded and idiotic thing to say though even if he is trying to appease the Turkish audience and suggests he isn't the smartest or most diplomatic operator.
