The Wyvern's Achievements

One of our worst ever managers. Seems to avoid the stick the likes of Jones and Martin get, guess his inoffensive personality helps.
-
So it makes sense they’re included in the net migration figure.
-
Surely they’re counted when they arrive and depart, so net effect either way would be quite minimal?

Dragan Šolak interviews with BBC and Daily Echo (June 5, 2026)
The Wyvern replied to CSA96's topic in The Saints
I’ve been plenty critical of Sports Republic in the past, but credit to Solak, always appears committed, right intent, financial backing and if anything just not had the luck go his way. Credit where credits due, he’s a good owner. -
Agreed, there’s been no evidence of bullying. I think in the efl statement it actually stated that for the Ipswich incident a few junior analysts were asked to do it and said “no”, with no repercussions.
-
You would hope trained police officers would be able to recognise someone stabbed multiple times that is close to death and tell the difference from someone who’s just committed an assault and about to do a runner.
-
Then it makes it even harder to believe he wasn’t clearly struggling at that point doesn’t it.
-
I see. But if the argument is when the police arrived it was too late to save his life surely he must have been really struggling?
-
Why did they arrest and handcuff Nowak though? That’s the bit I don’t get. On what grounds did they make that decision? And even if they couldn’t see the stab wounds, if the argument is it was too late to save his life then clearly he’d really be struggling at that point?
-
Am I missing some sort of joke here? "Some sort of scrap", "very British story", "too acclimatised"? Probably the weirdest post I have ever read on here.
-
Partly answering my own question here. Solak was just answering the journalists questions and whilst we might be confident he won’t be banned don’t know for certain to state that expressly in an interview. Also suggests any ban will be met with a well prepared legal team this time.
-
Taking Solak’s words at face value suggests they don’t know what’s happening with a potential fa ban and that is currently hanging over us as a change of manager at an unknown time. The club needs to get on top of that one way or another, it can’t be left open ended too much longer into the summer.
-
Do you know why his brother not getting done for perverting the course of justice? I can’t work that out.

I agree today's statement is generally weak for a number of reasons and it really wouldn't have taken much effort to stick a paragraph in recognising and acknowledging the supporters, but there was an apology in the original statement from a week ago. Club statement: League Arbitration Panel appeal | Southampton FC Official Site "We know how painful this moment will be for our supporters, players, staff, commercial partners and the wider community who have given so much backing to the team throughout the season and we apologise once again to everyone impacted by this." and "We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to our supporters for the support, patience and loyalty they have shown throughout an incredibly difficult period."

Why is the Canadian Women's team judgement/punishment seen as the marker against which Tonda will be judged? How does one sporting authority's judgement influence the decision of another, are there certain authorities that hold greater weight internationally than others?
