Right. I've got some numpty of a customer who has a mac - they've backed up to an external hard drive using time machine (I assume.) The caddy has gone faulty. We've removed the hdd from the caddy and are now copying their data across to the new hard drive. I've found a program called transmac which enables you to read HSFX partitions within windows. I can open all the documents, pictures, videos, everything fine. I however cannot copy from this program onto the new external hard drive. Is there anything anyone knows of which will enable me to extract from HSFX to an NTFS partition? Seeing as I can read the data, I can't see why I wouldn't be able to extract it. Stab in the dark, but there are some Mac guru's on here.

That's a very good point Stu, but when I've gone running across the fields which I have done lots in the past, I often slow down, speed up etc etc. Where as on a treadmill it is a constant pace and I never slow down (because I can't!) so I'm sure for its disadvantages there are advantages. I've got short legs too which I'm sure is a bonus! I don't get time to run during the day, so I have to run at night and I've tried doing that before and ended up nearly injuring myself! It's stickt countryside where I live so no street lights or anything. Once the clocks change and the evenings are lighter then I'll be trying to go out on runs a bit more, but I think running a couple of miles on the treadmill every evening has got to be doing a fair bit of good to me, certainly better than doing nothing.

Kind of agree with that, the only argument there is that she hasn't literally just died, and whilst the comments were disrespectful I think it was more in a joking/messing around way. Not that that makes it OK. I do think this forum is perhaps a bit too tolerant sometimes, rather than not tolerant enough. So I more agree with what has been done this time, as opposed to what wasn't last time. Amazes me how WSS has to be such a controversial sod all the time though. Why can't people just accept the way things are?

It's a bit like speeding isn't it? Every f*cker does it, so it often goes unpunished. But the day you are late and go at 32mph in a 30 the traffic cops are out with their speed cameras.

Yes - good isn't it? I've found it to be better in some ways than AVG, but I still find AVG requires less user interaction.

I think considering the circumstances of a young woman dying of cancer, leaving 2 young children behind, Ponty was 100% in the right. Some people were just being disrespectful and totally immoral. If anyone doesn't at least feel an ounce of sorrow towards the situation then they have some serious issues and are completely heartless. Whatever way you look at it - a young woman has died a slow and painful death, both emotionally and physically and 2 young children have lost their mother. I disliked the woman and I disagreed with the way she seemingly publicised her death, but it's a hideous situation and I show my respects for the family. My Grandad died of cancer last year and I appreciate what a terrible experience it is to watch someone you love slowly fade away and die right in front of your eyes leaving you feeling completely helpless.
