  1. Yeah....zip to do with people taking personal responsibility for their personal financial decisions (but that's for another thread!)
  2. Exactly - 'if true'. Truth is we only know what's coming from S****horpe. Have they got an agenda? Have they jumped the gun? Are they asking for zillions in compensation? There's quite a lot of conjecture and very little fact.
  3. If everyone had kept schtum until it was a done deal then there wouldn't be a problem.
  4. As many have pointed out, we've only got the Scunny chairmans word for it as to what has happened / is happening. Maybe they've jumped the gun, after all it seems from various sources on here (accurate or not) that interviews were continuing. Money does funny things to people and maybe the Scunny chairman could see pound signs....
  5. Depends though Mark - if they were being unreasonable on the compensation then full marks to NC not being held to ransom. If, however, they were being reasonable and we were trying to wriggle out of any sort of compensation then that would suck. A parallel here would be when Walcott left. he could have ripped up his contract as he was only 16 and left for a tribunal fee (probably peanuts). However, he apparently insisted that if he was to leave that Saints get the proper value for his development.
  6. I'd be pretty uncomfortable if we were encouraging him to resign to avoid compensation. IMHO that would stink and show us up as having a complete lack of class. I must admit I did wonder how kindly NC would take to Scunny being so public about it though.
  7. That doesn't sound remotely respectful tbf
  8. +1. Should have made it still IMHO. Leeds almost went up automatically after their 17 point deduction. The difference was that they took 6 games to wipe out 17 points, whereas we took about 10 games to wipe out 10 points
  9. OK, Mystic Meg.....is my fiver on KK for new manager looking good, or do I need to consider collecting on my bet that Pulis will be the next PL manager to leave (at 33-1)? Or both?
  10. This is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, a reputable hotel in Eastleigh.......FFS.
  11. What I make of it is that Rocketswannie is a T W A T
  12. Wouldn't the odds be short because we've had to ask Scunny if we can interview Adkins? Asking for permission to interview is always going to get out into the public domain and this is pretty much the only snippet that the bookies have got to go on. With most of the other candidates they're all out of a job so can be approached freely and in secret. The odds are for who is appointed not who is interviewed! As such, maybe it's still game on?
  13. You're sure about that are you?
  14. He isn't even ITK about getting a team promoted FFS!
  15. OK...some facts....(sorry to introduce them to the 'story') 1. He was Piacenza manager in serie B last season. They didn't get promoted 2. He joined Cesena in June (after they got promoted)
  16. Maybe it tarnishes his reputation because it happened, in which case he couldn't take legal action on it being a lie.
  17. This bit is critical IMHO. As I think FF said at the time, when you get taken over by a billionaire and become a rich mans toy, you become beholden to them. We need the Liebherr's continued involvement and investment. I happen to think NC is crucial to retaining that. Whether we like it or not, I feel we have to keep NC.
  18. I agree with this, but I can't agree that a sensible appointment is one who doesn't make an instant impact on the club, team and fans. One thing for sure, after Saturday, is that this club is in desperate need of someone to galvanise the whole place immediately and provide impetus and direction.
  19. This would seem to demonstrate he isn't a sensible appointment
  20. With a fiver at 33/1 I'm bloody hoping it's manager
  21. Now you bloody tell us
  22. Right......I hope....
  23. This
  24. That's no way to talk about Michael.
