  1. Why would I ask the question if I had the answer 😴
  2. Sorry, of this has been raised previously but surely I can't be the only one who is disappointed to take their seat at St. Mary's, glance up, only to see our most vociferous end of the ground totally handed over to the opposition fans rather than our own loyal Northam end contingent. That must give the away team a life and certainly seems to reduce the level of our own support, thereby handing the away team an advantage. I've heard previously that it is down to policing and security concerns. If this is true and there is no alternative then so be it. But, it would be great if there was some kind of alternative arrangement.
  3. Agree with all of that Chez, although I thought Eli had a poor game, not just for missing those chances but also being too hesitant in good positions and/or choosing the wrong option. He seemed to be having a niggle with Broja over the course of the match, perhaps he thought he wasn't making the right runs? Although Elli has improved this season I still think this position is one that we need to improve upon in the transfer market.
  4. Great suggestion
  5. Well said πŸ‘.
  6. Now that is dribble πŸ˜„
  7. I thought he had a very good game, assured and tidy.
  8. I think Broja answered for me...
  9. I think Broja could turn out to be another great find. 🀞
  10. With Tom Cruise playing a tough little soccer ball player from the Bronx who wins the World Soccer Cup for the USA and then goes on to win Olympic Gold in the marathon beating a Russian and a Chinese athlete
  11. I thought the same
  12. True, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't bemoan the fact that one of our main issues for several seasons is at CB and we appear to be trying to sort that issue out on the cheap whilst selling one of our two main CBs from last season.
  13. Out of a group of 4 of us, three of the cards have arrived by first class post today and the other needs to check when he gets home from work, so it could be 4 out of 4, fingers crossed. By the way, does anyone know how the E-Tickets are going to work?
  14. Looking back at our Transfer Ins and Outs since Gao took over you are correct (it just doesn't feel like that); my bad. However, the main thrust of my point was that I don't think it would be a good idea to sell JWP for Β£50million with less than 2 weeks of the transfer window left.
  15. I was stating my opinion that if JWP goes for Β£50million then Β£50 million will not be available to replace him this transfer window. Okay?
  16. I haven't received mine
  17. In your opinion
  18. A single opinion does not indicate entitlement or being a member of a "fictional" group; however, your reply was spoken with entitlement and in a spoilt brat manner with no sense of irony. Do you comprehend that it is possible to criticise our club and still be an optimistic supporter?
  19. Thank God it hasn't. With 2 weeks left to the transfer window we have left it far too late to get anyone decent in and I don't think there would be Β£50m left anyway for replacements after Gao has trousered a good chunk of it. To lose Bertrand, Vestergaard, Ings and then our club captain / free kick specialist / penalty taker in one window would be suicidal.
  20. Well, he is from abroad...
  21. Absolutely, we weren't a threat from any of them
  22. After watching that shit shower of a defence this afternoon, I think I would take Liverpool's Phillips in a heart beat
  23. Indeed, surely the purpose of a forum like this is to impart news and share opinions. Sometimes a view will be shared and someone will disagree. When things become very dull for most viewers is when the same point is discussed over and over between a small group of two or three posters, often having nothing to do with the actual thread. Perhaps the forum should have a special "spare room" on the side where these "spats" can continue without de-railing the chat for everyone else. πŸ˜…
  24. I agree that Pochettino is a great manager and forged an attractive yet combative Saints team. However, I don't think that he had much to do with Shaw's footballing ability. Shaw's prodigious talent was spotted incredibly early within the Saints Academy, and he was regularly playing for the U-18s at the age of fifteen before becoming the youngest Saints player to play in the PL at the agre of seventeen under Nigel Adkins. Man United bought him because of his potential not as the finished article. I think that the delays to his progress were more down to the fact that when he went to Man United, with all the expectations, at the age of just 18 and was then poorly managed by Mourinho.
