  1. What question? Oh, the one that requires me to subscribe to your world view in order to answer it? I don't think we should have heavy substance abusers at all, and I wonder how the f**k they got there in the first place, or why they would get involved knowing the risks. Everyone has seen the before and after pictures; why would someone put themselves through that the first time, let alone time after time? Ultimately, that sort of self-destructive behaviour is a big f**k you to yourself, your family and society in general. So yeah, I'd probably spend time and effort preventing it from happening in the first place, get treatment for those that were on it and while that was all being sorted out, house young families in new social housing build that's tied to the same sort of responsible behaviour you need to get a mortgage.
  2. Nah, I just think about things a bit more. Like them crack addicts. You're treating them as if they're part of the furniture (I've never mentioned them, btw - was talking heroin before, Hounslow-street-cred boy). I wonder why we have them in the first place.
  3. You now have an option to switch between 60Hz and 50Hz? How many button presses?
  4. No tits, apparently.
  5. Arf. At least be consistent. What am I? Martyr or despiser of the poor. What I actually am is an exporter. We receive no benefits, and 100% of my income comes from overseas, not the pockets of my fellow taxpayers.
  6. Is it the Communists, Sour Mash? Is the Aurora rolling up the Thames firing salvos of sarnies at hungry people?
  7. Where exactly do you think I live, Jeff? How does not liking having your daughter see smack addicts shoot up on the street equate with your laughable charge that I despise the common man? I reserve my enmity for scroungers like yourself, mate.
  8. Expected to lose or draw most of the time during Adkins' time in the Prem. Expect to win or draw under Poch. tbf to Nige, felt that about him in the lower leagues.

  10. Difference between Poch and Adkins in the Prem.
  11. Sorry mucker, but we are unlikely to be reconciled on this issue. You're as bad as the MP. Moaning about the habits of the poor, but wanting to make money from them (or us, more specifically). You made your bed. Lie in it.
  12. At which point you can legitimately say we've regressed and shout "we're sh!t. we always were!" from the rooftops. Right now, we've progressed.
  13. If the aim is to progress year on year, then the team is doing alright. Last year, I said staying well clear of the relegation spots was going to be our "success", and crucial for attracting the sort of player we'd need to progress. Maybe Lovren and Wanyama would have come whatever position we were in (Wanyama: I came to the club that wanted me most), but it was important not to be perceived as relegation fodder. This year, we're top half of the table, and by no means the finished article - but look like a team that could break into Europe with a couple of shrewd additions. Believe it or not, that is progress.
  14. Yeah, and I generally like not being an unholy c*nt, but I have it my locker
  15. You weren't close, but that's where your road leads; the poor spirited away into workhouse and ghettoes because of market conditions. We're already living in food bank Britain, yet you're telling people to move somewhere affordable. Newsflash, mate. If people are getting housing benefit handouts and still have to visit food banks, life's not affordable. I lived in Kensington Liverpool for ten years, mucker - and only really moved away because of the missus and girls badgering me. Apart from the space, my new place really isn't that different. You can pick up beer in the off licence (as opposed to being served through a hatch in a perspex prison), but that's about it. There was a gang murder in the pub next door a decade ago. I s'pose that happened next door to your gaff too
  16. I've agreed with some of his points before; even recently. I think Verbal is a good poster, but he's too quick to label and abuse. Most feuds on here settle into some kind of respectful detente. btt and I are a good example of this; we've been horrors to each other before, but neither of us will let our egos get in the way of a good point. Thing is, that generally involves a lowering of the guard and y'know, actually being respectful. Don't see it happening from that end, which is good news for those that enjoy the fireworks, I s'pose.
  17. Yeah, don't like to see any poster go proper hatstand, like. I'm relatively consistent with my madness. Agree about the BTT/GM bout. Time for Tim to get his Internet Protocol Stethoscope out, I reckon.
  18. Nope, I've left it at land tax and rent controls. What's your next move? Workhouses? A glorious return to serfdom? The f**kers can't afford sh!t, after all.
  19. Summarise it that way if you want, but my opinion is that the price of property is a harmful fiction.
  20. I thought Jeff would be placated with public beatings. Stocks might be good as "foreplay" though.
  21. Which of course, precludes children. Would you like to embellish your dystopian vision further, Unbelievable Jeff? There's a bit of room for public beatings and hunter-killer peasant drones, I reckon.
  22. Land is one of the biggest items on the housing bill of material. Make it an expensive thing to hold onto, people will sell land, the price of land will come down - lowering the cost of new build. Rent controls. Set the price of rents based on square footage with respect to the minimum wage. Tenants get an excellent deal. Some landlords may find it tough going, particularly if their empire is mortgaged. They'll need to sell in order to remain afloat; more supply coming onto the market ( basically the opposite of what these big private landlords do ) and cheaper prices for existing stock.
  23. As I said, unique considerations aside, such as the fact you can only really play Mario Kart et al on Nintendo hardware, performance and quality win out. Didn't know about AC4 on WiiU being 1080p, but it does beg the question of where the XBox One sits in the console pecking order. Not the only thing either - there isn't a f*ckton of difference between the 360 and One stills of the new MGS game. I know that the One version does 60FPS in motion to the 360's 30FPS, so there's that. The big worry for One owners is this potential bottleneck on the ESRAM. It's only 32Mb in size and has to be navigated to put a frame on the screen. According to this Daily Star article (yeah, I know), it's sorted. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/tech/366665/Joy-for-Xbox-One-gamers-as-consoles-graphics-issues-are-finally-sorted I doubt it, but I genuinely hope that's the case.
  24. Nah, I'd make sure it was too expensive for people to hold onto land. I'm also in favour of rent controls. The market will do the rest.
  25. House prices are largely set by what people can afford, which roughly equates to how much credit they can get. This is normally orders of magnitude higher than what it actually costs, especially once you take over-priced land out of the equation.
