from a meeting that was held with our new CEO tonight
-
must be why Chainrai is going through Fit and Proper at the moment
-
I don't know what you guys are fretting about - we will deffo start the season with only 20 players - the embargo won't be lifted in time IMHO and in any case there is no way we will win the appeal
-
love you xx
-
I don't think you will find alot of us lapped it up - most of us found out what AA did at Swindon within hours As for league 1 - thats a given I reckon, would be surprised if we have long odds at the bookies for sure
-
quote from FL included http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Time-for-Pompey-to-bring.6436043.jp
-
to be Jordan, Songo and Ashdown probably
-
gawd knows, there's so much ****e flowing out of PFC/The News at the moment who knows what to believe
-
we have apparently been granted dispensation to sign 3 players according to that lowlife local rag of ours.
-
sure you can read? ;o)
-
yes it did
-
would be more than happy for HMRC to get their hands on the books, think most of us would like to see that happen. String the buggers up lol ! whatever happens whether league 1 after this season coming or whatever if we still have a club without chainrai and any other suspect fooker I'll be happy. Rivalry as you know goes out the window in the situations like this, most important thing is survival, we'll resume the rivalry later !!
-
If that is the case am sure they are on dodgy ground as there is a submission date for all claims and when they heard they maybe less than 25% decided to try and add this one on. AFAIK the administrator does not have to accept late claims and the figure is in dispute anyway by the Administrator. I'm no expert though so unsure of how ground lies with this stuff
-
Must be to do with image rights which at present is legal. HMRC are challenging this but as it stands are unable to claim it as part of current administration exercise. That's the understanding. How true at this juncture I am unsure
-
that will have reverberations for alot of teams and about time too. Shame this wasn't bought in earlier, we might not be in the mess we are.
-
love you too fella
-
fans or the clubs owners for doing it ? Not our fault now is it.
-
you do not know that and have no facts to back it up, depends on what their view is on a points penalty next season, there could be very good reasons why it was not done pre-admin I would prefer to wait and see the outcome rather han write a statement based on asumption
-
I never understand that last statement - hope of what ? There will always be a Portsmouth in whatever guise whether it be AFC or PFC - so whats there to kill? most fans just want to watch their team, real one's no matter which division we are in. Rivalary comes after that for most apart from the morons
-
he is the supposed frontman though and not the man with the money the consortium are meeting with a select group of fans today which should be interesting to be honest I don't care if they are not billionaires, just someone who can come in, stablise the club, pay the debt off and give us our club back will do. Billionaires are nice to have but when they walk away or get into troubles we all know what can happen
-
thats assuming that 2 years ago we were operating illegally and not paying tax though, AFAIK we were operating like alot of prem clubs do with loans and overdrafts. Since sasha decided to withdraw funding after the FA cup win thats when we started the non-paying cycle
-
however and lets put whether it was legal aside we have been in a final and an FA cup final and won it this is just another bonus and our 4th time there in the last 2 years
-
I am in no way clutching at straws fella, we deserve the -9 - we should get the -9, I am pointing out what the administrator thinks he has grounds for appealing on
-
The Premier League's own rule book provides that the nine point deduction is not mandatory and there are two means by which Pompey could well appeal. Firstly if the administration was considered to have occured as a result of 'something that would not be categorised as a normal business risk over which it could reasonably be expected to have control' (Rule 62.1) and secondly that its 'officials had used all due dilligence to avoid the happening of that event' (62.2). Given the suspicions outlined above and the fact that two of Pompey's three owners this season 'passed' the FAPL's 'Fit and Proper Persons' test, then the grounds for an appeal look reasonable at the very least.
-
dunno - hopefully we will see where all the ******* money has gone this coming week, another rumour is Chainrai might buy us back FFS ! Comedy gold
