lol - we have been insolvent since October last year - not really ground breaking is it ?
-
yes and please let us know the outcome
-
nice generalisation there - we deserve the 9 points and a further deduction should a satisfactory conclusion not be reached for all concerned, should it come to that
-
do tell ginge
-
I am not sure all is well, yet. Next Wednesday will be the money shot so to speak lol
-
Oh FFS do we have to ruin this thread with the fan debate again, its ******* b-0-llocks, what difference does it make if you have 10k hardcore or 20k or whatever, its about what you do on the pitch
-
I am inclined to agree with both you and Gemmel but its not just about profit that attracts people to buying a club is it. There are people interested for whatever reason I have no idea why....I wouldn't lol
-
Balram if he wants his money back will have to pay the £7.5M at the winding up order next week, he has the money should he wish too. He has stated today he wishes to put the club on in a stable state ready to sell again as soon as. Its in his interests too ensure we do not go out of business one would assume. There are 2 interested parties that were not being allowed access to the books who will now be able to look at the club properly. I expect a 5th owner in one season to be a real possibility

Saintsweb Prediction Fun-What happens to Pompey in court?
Merovingian replied to PaulSaint's topic in The Lounge
I think we all want to see that anyway lol -
oh dear I doubt many if any of the players will be bricking it, most of the foreigners will not understand the deep rivalry like we do.
-
and alot of us are not opposed to AFC Portsmouth, we get our club back
-
I saw that aswell, Jack-a-Storrie done well lol
-
quite possibly but he does have the money at least to do this - the previous owner did not
-
in terms of financial stability it is the best we could have hoped for between now and the end of the season as I hope and suspect he will keep the club running as a going concern as he will want to sell. in terms of being easier to sell it should also help if we stablise finances and pay players and the HMRC In the short term I can only see this as better than the previous regime, who cares about the politics its the financial aspect that requires attention and by whom no one cares as long as it is addressed
-
yep and Chainrai has at least been to Fratton Park for a game a few times
-
least of our worries lol
-
at the same time we are due a fair bit aswell pedg, Diarra, Johnson etc were all structured deals over a number of years, no one pays the whole lot cash up front
-
SSN confirm subject to Chainrai passing FPPT he is new owner of the club from PFC spokes person. he will breeze ther FAPP compared with the other owners this year
-
who knows Joe, I do know Chainrai sued Arkadi Gaydamak last year and seized control of Betar Jerusalam and £7M He will be looking to sell ASAP I suspect so he can get his dosh back
-
As I understand it unless things have changed he is not interested in owning the club long term ( shame coz him and Levi Kushnir (sp) have serious money ) He will sell it on I suspect, however he will at least more than likely put the club in order, at least see wages are paid per month and ensure we do not get wound up or go into liquidaton. He may even stick around long enough for us to go down and gamble on spending the parachute payment to get us back up to see his chance of selling us for more in 2 years increase. Whichever way its nothing to get excited about as far as the long term future goes but what it does mean is we should ( hopefully ) have a club in time to beat you boys and finish the season
-
staff now paid, players to be paid later
-
A fair number of us won't argue with that, it depends on where you sit in terms of rivalry.
-
the point I am making is no club should be allowed to be that much in debt, if Man Utd had not of sold Ronaldo last year their profit would of been somewhere in the region of a£35M loss.
-
we did have it until Sasha said he was not prepared to continue to finance it, you don't know if in the same situation your owner was to suddenly find himself not so well off if he would not start selling your assets off. Clubs should be made to trade solvent though I agree, the premiership bubble will burst sooner or later it just isn't sustainable as it currently is IMO
-
if you manage to get to the premiership and your billionaire decides to spend big and get you into Europe the majority of your fans will not be complaining that you have spent your way to a cup / europe will they now. The premiership is all ****** - why should Liverpool and Man Utd be getting away with being so much debt. I agree with your statement but do not pretend if it was the other way around that all of you would be complaining because you would not. You would be lapping it up as much as some of us did. Those of us sensible enough could see this was not sustainable and sooner or later it would go pop
