there is a good article in the guardian stating some supposed facts, one of the only things he got wrong was that Faraj is the sole investor as far as we know. You will be pleased to know he states al faraj is not thought to be a billionaire http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2009/oct/17/portsmouth-al-fahim-faraj-harry-redknapp

its a quite a corker n'est pas ?
-
its deffo not real and another one of his bleatings I reckon, view from the top - the reason storrie said that was because even when fahim bought the club - gaydamak still owned the land around fratton park, which was going to be the stumbling block to the asl faraj deal, however between sasha and faraj an agreement was made. what this is I don't know but as far as we were aware SAF never owned it in the first place
-
who knows pancake, al fahim was only given 10% as a token gesture, perhaps he is being/has been ousted

a more klikely press story - jewish chronicle Avram Grant: the real story Pompey CEO fought hard to keep Israeli from director role By Simon Griver, October 16, 2009 Follow the JC on Twitter Avram Grant was appointed Director of Football at Portsmouth despite opposition from the club’s CEO Peter Storrie, the JC understands. Reports in Israel have contradicted Storrie’s claim that manager Paul Hart will be solely responsible for team selection. Grant will select the side together with Hart and is expected to join him on the touchline although it remains unclear whether the Israeli will be involved in tomorrow’s game at Fratton Park against Spurs. Grant’s second spell at the club has been delayed by work-permit red tape. Before confirming his return to the Premier League, Grant was linked with a move to the American MLS where he was in negotiations to manage the New York Red Bulls. But the lure of a £950,000-a-year contract and the chance of being Hart’s long-term successor was too much to resist. According to sources close to Grant, he has returned to the top flight not for financial reasons but to prove himself as a world-class manager. He has targeted Portsmouth, where he was director of football in 2007, as the club most likely to appoint him manager. Until last week Storrie had successfully blocked his return. Failed attempts to bring in Sven Goran Eriksson and Alan Curbishley, rather than reappoint Grant, saw Storrie eventually persuade former owner Alexandre Gaydamak first to promote Tony Adams and then Hart. Super-agent Pini Zahavi, who engineered the latest takeover of Portsmouth by Ali Al Faraj, persuaded the Saudi Arabian that Grant is the man to lead the club. They had wanted to install Grant immediately but Storrie was opposed and used Portsmouth’s win at Wolves, after seven league defeats, to buy more time for Hart. Storrie, who had been CEO at West Ham when Harry Redknapp was manager and who brought Redknapp with him to Portsmouth, has remained at the club since Redknapp left, and is popular with the fans. But as the Al Faraj administration takes control, and Grant is expected to be the replacement for Hart, it remains to be seen whether Storrie is prepared to stay on at Fratton Park with the Israeli in charge. On the playing front, Grant has moved to diffuse any animosity between himself and Tal Ben Haim. The defender was transfer-listed when the pair were at Chelsea after criticising his former manager. But Grant said: “I’ve spoken to Tal several times since we both left Stamford Bridge and everything is fine between us.” Mark Jacob, the lawyer who has been made a Portsmouth director as Al Faraj’s representative, has dismissed reports that Israeli businessmen are involved in the club’s new ownership. Speaking to the JC, he said: “My client owns 100 per cent of the company that owns Portsmouth.” When asked who would be selecting the team, he replied: “That’s for Hart and Grant to decide between them.” A lifelong Spurs fan and author of the book, What’s the Story - Boring Glory, criticising former Spurs chairman Lord Alan Sugar, he sidestepped questions as to who he would be supporting tomorrow. “It’s a win-win situation,” he said

erm, no. I am not stupid enough to believe most things that are written in our garbage press. And I certainly would not be foolish enough to claim that the sun is gospel and make a complete arse of myself thanks.
-
nothing more than a column filler though is it...standard redtop wow stories that don't amount to much
-
hardly an issue is it - our current chairman mouthing off - soon to be ex-chairman aswell I suspect We all saw your comments but its not like anything is going to come of it is it ! lol - notice its in the sun aswell. Must be 100% fact then. particularly with the "source close to him" line..ha ha
-

like we or any other club have a choice what the owner, ceo and manager try to do, if we survive this year and stabilise then buying the fa cup worked did it not ? albeit by the skin of our teeth. Isn't there an element of buying most trophies and titles these days anyway? How many prem clubs are in debt.....
-
I can honestly say I am not gutted - I have never put any credence in attendance figures, as I have stated before - its division, recent trophies and results that are the bragging rights not some we are bigger than you coz we have more fans lark. To me that argument tailors more towards the team who are currently feeling inferior, yes I do mean you.
-
so...the papers were printing rumour like you state, then why would the club come out and substantiate rumours by claiming the tax bill was paid. I am quite happy with the way things are going and would prefer we keep our affairs away from the press as much as possible. Most fans knew we had until the 16th, if we get past that date it probably means we are ok for now, I also have not come across masses of us who are/have been stressed about this so I don't know where you get that idea from....actions speak louder than words or press releases. The wait and see continues but the signs are more postitive than negative
-
suspect its going to be a very hostile environment down fratton for the 10k that turn up
-
lol - why on earth would they do a press release.... erm...do attendances matter then, silly me I thought it was divisional status, results and recent trophies ? Doh !
-
info been passed on tonight - tax bill paid.
-
anything with insiders said - or our sources reveal is more than likely conjecture in my experience. 2 days to find £16.5M, if we do not go into admin within the next week they obviously have "some" money
-
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1218613/Pompey-saved-But-does-know-Ali-Abdullah-Al-Faraj-actually-is.html who is saying all is great, most of us are waiting to see what happens
-
its been posted in a national aswell has it not ?
-
as far as we were concerned it was always a consortium
-
exactly - does not mean he is dodgy just because no one knows him - yet to be proved either way
-
Do you really think the mail know the financial details right down to how things are going to be paid, they cannot find out anything about the owner so why would they suddenly know about his company - utter poppy**** from the mail lol
-
and what right does anyone have to know where the money comes from, the premier league need to know and thats it a far as I am aware. And I suggest if you are saying we are or have been receiving money from an untoward source you back it up with hard fact and not heresay...well...come on then...show me the proof bit like saying redknapp allegedly takes bungs, proved yet is it? No, didn't think so....
