funny that he has been announced as new chairman with Storrie going back to CEO then isn't it ? its done end of bar the solicitors and formal transfer. Like it lump it - the fact is though we still have no money, although we have a club so dunno why your clinging onto the admin theory
-
just been announced in PFC Official Site
-
if the latest rumour is true you lot will be very happy as we will certainly be in the championship next year without a doubt

EXCLUSIVE: Portsmouth deal to be sealed on July 24 by Anil Bhoyrul on Wednesday, 15 July 2009 Confidential documents seen by Arabian Business show that Dr Al Fahim, who launched his bid for the Premier League club on May 27, has now agreed terms with the club. He will meet with club boss Peter Storrie Thursday evening in London, with the takeover likely to be officially announced on July 24, after the Premier League has completed its “Fit and Proper” persons test.

property developer but with a keen love of football, should we get to build a new stadium he'll make money somewhere out of it no doubt, we own all of fratton park and some land around it, and if the council allow us to build up in tipner he will have more of an opportunity there too. we still own titchfield golf course FFS lol who really knows though, why are the arabs in manchester doing what they are doing. If you ask me with the amount of money floating around its all going to go pear shaped sooner or later, it's disgusting what is being spent

is this the same press that reported the deal was in collapse weeks ago and that due dilligence would not complete. The same press that upto a week ago were reporting the bid had collapsed and all deals were off. Its funny because each and everytime there has been more rubbish printed, Sulamein via his spokesman has re-assured all that everything is on target for a July conclusion, there have been a few hiccups along the way but they appear to be sorted. Oh and don't forget Shinawatra's involved and the premier league chairman is involved and it's all dodgy and and and and and..... there will be some negotiation on price I believe (wouldn't you if you had sasha over a barrell as the dodnondoc does)but according a few of the ITK'ers on our board who have actually spoken to some people involved rather than someone who knows someone they are not insurmountable and the deal could be concluded as early as next week depending on the F&PP test by the PL as a pompey fan I am a natural pessimist and until its on the OS the worry will continue, but in all honesty I am pretty confident this will be done, as you know there are alot of paranoid people around when there's a take over going on and rumours spread like wildfire. None of the press know whats going on as proved by none of their stories verifying to date. Only those in the boardroom know. So, as you know yourselves it's a waiting game. I was glad you got your buyer and I think if we get our buyer it's a good thing for the South Coast

PORTSMOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB STATEMENT Portsmouth Football Club can confirm that the due diligence process for the takeover of the club by Sulaiman Al Fahim has now been completed. Al Fahim Asia Associates are now conducting their final commercial assessment. A formal application for the ‘Fit and Proper Person Test’ has been submitted to the Premier League

posted by a saints fan on POL I think Received a message saying that Football League wanted to: a) Add another 10pt penalty to the 10pts already deducted; b) Add an additional 7pts to that penalty... Giving us a starting point of -27 - hence the pull-outs today. Don't shoot me, just passing on what I've been told. I guess the precedent was set with Luton.
-
sounds to me from an outsider looking in that in MLT statement he is aluding to the fact that if you do not satisfy certain requirements by the football league when you come out of admin you will be losing even more points from the start, Rotherham and Bournemouth lost a further 7 and Leeds a further 15 ?

nothing to do with what I want to hear, why were west ham not hammered ? its irrelevant what the press print really, the people that matter are the one's doing the deal, I cannot change it so I am not overly fussed what they do print - just abit surprised that they are going what appears to be abit over the top. however, they are in the business to sell papers ergo we see what we see
-
lol, so the crux of it is a) guardian are reporting an citehs brother is involved because he chairs hydra properties. answer : its not hydra properties taking over portsmouth b) crouch doesn't know who the manager is and wants assurances, will asses it when he comes back from holiday and have a chat about where the club is going. answer : notw report it as crouch on his way out ? err I do believe he says he wants talks about the future of the club and re-asurances. Thats good accurate reporting isn't it? must admit I am quite surprised at just how much the press hate us and I have no idea why, I know you lot will come up with some reasons but it seems everyday there is another paper having a pop and trying to undermine things...just don't get it.

point is steve, the lawyers of both PFC and Dr Sulamein are going to be telling the premier league in writing he is the only owner, if they cannot prove otherwise the deal is done. Bear in mind, we currently have a bloke whose father is wanted in a number of countries and we maybe being taken over by a bloke who is an amabassador for the UN and does an inordinate amount for charity. Now I am not saying it will affect the outcome but I bet insiders would prefer the good Dr taking over. Now as far as I am aware whilst the premier league are entitled to know who the shareholders of the club are what they cannot do by law of any variety is enquire as to who is investing in an equity or hedge fund. The Dr has supposedly setup an equity fund type vehicle and will use it to finance PFC but he will be the only shareholder as far as companies house etc are concerned of the club. At least this is how its being reported by both papers and PFC - how are the premier league going to get around that one. They would have to monitor every transaction in and out of that equity fund and demand the right to know who every person responsible for each transaction is. Not something by law I would of thought they could demand and lets be honest looking at their history not soimething they would do. Either way the Dr is declaring himself as the only shareholder - where the money comes from to back him - well provided it is from an investor who pays it into an equity fund who the good dr happens to be a part of I cannot possibly see how the permier league are going to be able to veto it. Where does Abramovich's money come from or the Man City Arabs ? Do the premier league constantly ask these questions to ensure it is still being invested by fit and proper people and is not dirty money- I doubt it.... The deal willl go through - who really is behind it I don't give a tupney fook, we still have a premier league club and to be honest it was looking like we would do a you up until a few weeks ago and we still might if DD by some starnge reason does not go through Cannot see it though ! Sort you own house out before you come knocking on ours
-
lol -keep clutching boys, O/S statement that Taskin is not involved, prem leage told only the Dr is to be a shareholder. we all know the deal will go through, due dilligence as you know is a long process for the benefit of both club and new owners and of course as with buying a house if something is not right it may not go through, hardly breaking news is it ? I would of thought in your current predicament - deal still not done you might think twice before pointing out possible problems with our one ?

if you are going to take what you read in papers as gospel, then take a look at the sunday rags with quotes from our chairman saying we are close to a deal with either american or far eastern investors so before you extract the urine I would first worry about your own predicament (which I hope you get out of) and wait and see if and who buys us in the summer
-
Will what happened to us happen to that lot down the road?

as has been mooted for a long time - safety means buyers will now go ahead to try and complete a deal http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/308802/Portsmouth-owner-takes-pound30m-hit-Sasha-Gaydamak-will-lose-a-fortune-when-he-sells-up.html american or far eastern.....hmmmm..question is will it be as exciting/nerve racking/lengthy as your lots.... -

absolutely, we maybe £65M in debt (alledgedly) but we are about to shed £15M from the wage bill this summer. Crouch , Johnson and Kranjcar are worth a considerable amount, we do not have a stadium debt hanging around our neck. Our debt is in the form of loans to the chairman, and No I am not enjoying seeing you at the brink of extinction. Most of us have been there ourselves and want to see you come out the other end If we go down, with parachute payments etc we would probably just about be able to survive and lets face it we won an FA Cup and got into Europe so even if we do go down next season it will all have been worth it at the end of the day Onwards and upwards for both teams I hope. As someone said it would be better to have us both in the top league -
come on peeps you know most pompey fans are morons
-
loads of pompey on about going in the away end on Satdee
-
sorry to post on your main board but the general consensus of our lot in the office do NOT want to see you disappear completely and I wish you well in finding someone who can help you out of your current predicament. I can remember the coffins going down goldsmith avenue around 10 years ago when we were in the same boat. nervous and apprehensive times, we all have one common thing between us and that is we are all fans and no fans should have to go through such times.
-
why - we cannot fill our current one so whats the point in having one as big as you ?

jesus unlucky mate, I live in Gosser, went to docs after 3 months of pain and playing hocley with painkillers, referred to Haslar hospital, Dr Longbottom lol offered me arthoscopy(sp) (keyhole surgery) straight away to see if there was any damage that could be repaired. Go back to your docs - ask to be referred to a specialist at the hospital, say your taking pain killkers everyday and its affecting your work, life, sports, sleep, state of mind etc - the whole shebang !!!!
-
what he said - been there - done that and it's not nice.
