  1. FFS Weston I had you down as having abit more nouse - he wants a move and he is engineering it. More than likely an attempt by a certain someone to drive the price down so he can go to spurs.
  2. yawn...as stated you made the the bet unbettable by trying to include a donkey ala sol campbell and Granty did not agree he was top either so back in your box Defoe wants to go - there is a difference in having to sell and a player wanting to leave my league 1 elect friend
  3. cannot possibly say I would be disappointed if he went for £15M, whilst he scores goals when not on form we may aswell play with 10 men as he is lazy as fook. I was chuffed when we signed him but as some Spurs fans warned us he goes missing often and needs 10 shots per goal. He has cost us 9 points in the last 5 games with a host of missed chances and penalties. For good money bye bye and we move on
  4. WE ARE SKINT and thats my 3 posts !! we didn't have to sign this guy as he is on loan until end of season, so if money is that tight what gives ?? cue - because defoe, johnson et al are about to be sold. Who knows what the truth is bar Storrie and Gaydamak..... BELHADJ SIGNS LONG-TERM DEAL Nadir Belhadj has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Pompey. The Blues have paid French side Lens 4.5m euros for the 26-year-old left-sided player. Belhadj has made the switch after a successful loan spell at Fratton Park in which he has scored twice in 23 appearances. The Algeria international officially becomes a Pompey player on January 1, when the transfer window opens. Tony Adams said Belhadj’s capture came with a ringing endorsement from Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. The Blues manager said: "I’m delighted to have secured Nadir as a permanent signing.
  5. not again - you made the bet unbettable stating you will wait to see who is sold before you confirm, even granty thought you were talking out your ass FFS ! Sol Campbell is not a top drawer player ! Your laughable Seeing though as you always believe whats in the press about pompey you must certainly believe this, no questions asked ! You cannot have it both ways, and incidentally I am not saying I believe this Pompey deny bids for Johnson and Defoe Pompey full-back Glen Johnson http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/319696758?-11209 30 December 2008 By Neil Allen Glen Johnson is considering taking legal action over claims he is poised for a £9m move to Liverpool. The England full-back and his agent are incensed by reports he has been shown around Liverpool's training ground. According to the allegations in a national newspaper, Johnson visited the Reds' Melwood base in the build-up to Christmas. The suggestion has been angrily denied by Pompey, who insist they have had no approach for Johnson. Executive chairman Storrie said: 'We have had no approaches for any of our players and that includes Glen. 'I know that his agent has taken this story up with the newspaper and is pushing for an apology. 'Glen is livid, everyone is, it's an outrageous story. 'To say we have had a bid for him is a lie, it's just silly season.' Storrie has also dismissed Harry Redknapp's claims the club have received a 'massive' bid for Jermain Defoe, who has reportedly told Tony Adams he wants a move back to Tottenham despite interest from Aston Villa. Both clubs have also reportedly made verbal bids of between £12-16m for the striker, but Storrie insists Spurs were knocked back after an initial enquiry. He also shot down Redknapp's allegations another club has been given the go-ahead. Storrie said: 'We have had a tentative enquiry about Jermain and told the club concerned he was not for sale unless it was for a very, very big offer. 'As with any of our players, obviously if an exceptional offer came in, such as that for Lassana Diarra, we would consider it, as any club would. 'But no-one has made a bid.' Meanwhile, Pompey have confirmed they expect to sign Nadir Belhadj permanently in January. EastleighSoulBoy - suspect Adams will not get all the funds for re-investment as some of the funds will go to paying off Defoe etc but he will get a reasonable amount to sign players that are our level, our level is not Crouch, Defoe, Diarra, etc - we were and are punching above our weight, we are a mid to low table team without investment as for Defoe - get rid - reminds me of Andy Cole, requires 10 shots to score 1 goal FFS ! Does not gel bruilliantly with Crouch either - Kanu for all his faults is much better at the support role, says alot.
  6. I respect most of what you post Steve but I think Defoe and Johnson if they are off will be going for over £20M. Johnson for £4-5M lol - thats funny. Easily be £8M I reckon, especially if Liverpool are in the mix. No one believed Diarra would go for £20M but he did. I don't agree with the statement about a player not being fully paid for having any effect on transfer value. The player is worth what fee you demand, nothing to do with whether he is paid up or not. What makes you think other clubs would know what their status is either. Most playes these days are not paid for outright up front and their values are not diminished.
  7. indeedy worse than I thought at the club at the mo
  8. we are going down end of. defoe is no loss of late, he has missed chance after chance and cost us around 9 points in the last 5 games Johnson saddens me but Distin again is having an awful season, unbelieveable that he has the gaul to speak out considering his current performance. yep your told you so's bring em on they are coming home to roost. we need some fighters at fratton park, I would be happy to see Campbell, James, Distin, Defoe, Krancjar, Utaka all go - no fight or passion from any of them and all seem disinterested, buy some lower league english players who at least want to play for the shirt and have a bit of guts. Gary O'Neil may not be a great player but he'll give you his all as would Matty Taylor. like I said the other day, 5 years in the prem, FA Cup win, 3 wembley appearances, 2 top 10 finishes, europe all in my lifetime is awesome. So yes I'll take the flack from you guys but it has all been worth it. Only bummer is your going down aswell so still no fecking derby lol !
  9. I don't think any of us sensible types will necessarily say we are not in worrying times Granty. But I do not think we are in quite the financial meltdown the rags would have you believe. Not many clubs in the premiership these days are not in debt. This summer will see us release a fair number of players and release alot of wage debt - sol campbell on 105k per week for starters. However I just cannot see a mass exodus in January (I maybe wrong), maybe in the summer if no buyer is found yes. Some may go in January but we are a small club punching above our weight so for the right offers we prolly should sell. I still maintain if we are that skint (administration skint) why are the contracts for the training ground being exchanged shortly on a £9M project ? Why were we spending £3M on Belhadji before the Diarra sale, a position we don't necessarily need to fill as priority ? And, if it all goes wrong and we return to the championship, 2 top 10 finishes, 5 years in the prem, FA cup win (inc 3 wembley appearances) and the first time in Europe will do me, more than I ever thought I would see in my lifetime and I would be pleased to have witnessed it. I might have to take a load of stick from you lot but it will have been worth it
  10. lol - believe all you wish boys, do I believe Adams who says he has all the Diarra money to spend (we had money to spend before Diarra sale aswell), or Lauren who has long been known to be bitter and twisted about being bought then not played, attempted to be shunted on but refused and refused to train. keep clutching boys keep clutching. remember that obviously everything in the press about Pompey is fact according to you lot, so what Adams says must also be true. I'd be more worried about League 1 and potential administration if I were you boys and spend less time on Current FA Cup Holders and Top 10 premiership team Portsmouth who have just played in Europe regardless of you think might be happening in January or beyond.
  11. I'm not betting based on what you have said - end of ! Ridiculous
  12. I refuse to include sol - the fastest decline of a player I have ever seen !!
  13. yeah ok Nick, I'll stand by what I said. Top Players Defoe Crouch James (debateable as he's crap this season lol and worth less than £3M) Johnson Distin (30 year old lol) Krancjar - IMHO not good enough either So I would really only see top players being 5 of those 6 with James or Niko not in it. I know Granty - he knows me so I am sure we can work something out. By the way PFC confirm we had a bid of of over £20M from Real and Diarra is going in January.
  14. £24M done deal, and as you believe everything thats written in the papers ref pompey thats negative you cannot deny this must be fact http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...cle2044840.ece FWIW an injury prone player who hasn't reached the same heights as last year, this is a great deal for PFC. I think the price will be nearer £20M euros and if we (and I believe we will) get a replacement in which is believed to be a Shalke midfielder whose is half decent I'll be happy. However, that does not distract from the fact I think Adams is not upto it and if we are not careful next year we could be in trouble. SACK the WAC. As for fire sales, the Diarra deal should see to it that we are ok for this season at least
  15. I'll give you a £50 bet right now the only major player likely to be leaving is Diarra, who we have been playing without for 4-5 games now. in fact this season he has not quite reached last seasons heights, he keeps picking up niggles and injuries. Show me hard facts we have to sell, that is facts that have not come from a jackanory journo. If you can find facts then also include tony adams comments today that we are in fact going to have funds in Jan. We have agreed to sign Belhadji for £3M in January ! But we are skint - remember that, I'll be back Jan 31st to resurrect your post
  16. I thought it was a good effort myself. You must be able to do better than just point that out though - surely? with regards to the January fire sale by the way boys - Sasha giving Adams funds in Jan to strenghen, should he still be here. meanwhile you can look forward to league 1 next year
  17. I to have heard from numerous people announcement around hereenveen game of sale.
  18. to be honest getting there and then to the group stage was enough for me. Drawing against Milan with a great performance was worth it in all fairness. But I understand your gloating I would be the same
  19. do remind us how you got on last time you were in europe ?
  20. lol - all gathering pace now and people actually being named, we were expecting something this week and looks like we might get it. Somewhat jealous Saints fans on here I reckon, poor old pathetic tinpot smalltime pompey more of an attractive investment than the mighty saints lol - small team in hampshire you lot - FACT ! I know your all clinging to the hope of administration for us and a fire sale in January, shame your not going to get it isn't it. And of course we'll get to see you languish in League 1 next season whilst we have another top 10 finish.
  21. and of course redknapp never lies does he "i'll never go up the road" "pompey is my last job before retirement" "i love it at pompey" our CEO says Harry wanted to go and we negotiated £5M compo. both are liers so who knows. you will only believe what suits anyway as for hating redknapp - why not..he took us all in again saying he would never go and pompey was his last job etc etc and quel surprise he is off again, why shouldn't we hate him?
  22. depends who we get in regarding selling players - I do not believe we need to sell anyway - we turned down a £15M for Diarra on transfer deadline day. however if we do not get a respected british man in a la curbs/alladyce ilk we will be in trouble. either way we were always going to be in difficult times when he chose to leave and thats the point he chose to leave southampton and pompey are now united in the hating of judas thats a FACT !
  23. as you all think the NOTW is right, the people are reporting we are to be bought by middle eastern and far eastern people and we have entered a period of 60 days exclusivity while they examine the cub. so this must also ber FACT because a newspaper reported it (also reported a few weeks ago aswell)! personally I think we will be taken over by someone with more money as its the fashion to own a prem club lately and I'll enjoy the ride for the time being. Getting rid of players in january rubbish is exactly that and pure speculation on their part. We have known the club has been up for sale since june and in fact rumour has it we agreed to be taken over before the end of last season but sasha upped the price because of the cup win ergo investors went cool on the idea. So yes we are up for sale but the rest of what they print is very speculative
  24. and of course lets not forget NOTW is a paper that delivers FACT in every article it produces, you boys should know better than anyone about not believing everything thats written
  25. we have been up for sale for ages - an arab please - we have our russian money - lets have some more dodgy middle eastern money now please.
