Can Saints hold the lead until half time?

Another chance goes begging. Long with no composure.

Everton supporters were getting on their backs so Saints contrive to give the ball away continuously, offer acres of space down our left and then hand the game to them. Something's seriously amiss at the club. The players just knew they'd lose once they went behind.

Well those xmas results are what you might expect from a team staring relegation in the face. I just can't see where any improvement is coming from.

Well at least we haven't had a player sent off.

Saints have grown into the game quite nicely. Now if they could just find some composure in and around the Everton penalty area this is certainly winnable.

Breaking quickly from own penalty area with several players busting a gut to get up in support? Nope. Not the current Saints style I sad to say.

Well I did call the result at half-time. Can't see us getting anything at Everton, especially as the players seem to have lost confidence.

Saints form has been pretty awful for weeks now. Lucky that there's enough other dross in the League that Saints might scramble to safety. Lack of any sort of cutting edge and now the defence has decided to join in with the woefulness.

On that form we're going to be spending a lot more time looking at teams behind us than above. That was dreadful.

The lack of players making runs into the penalty area during open play means we're pretty static in the final 3rd. Still got a good goal from a set piece and then all they had to do was shut up shop for a couple of minutes and we'd have a half time lead. Am I alone in thinking WBA could even nick this on the break if they wanted?

The top teams in the Premiership are just so much stronger than the rest of the league now. Mid table mediocrity if we're lucky this season.

Their midfield better than our lightweight boys. Simple as that really.

Are Saints one of the most boring teams to watch these days? Last night's "performance" was simply continuing a them. If anything they're going backwards - in more than one way.

This Israeli team look like they'd be happier taking on Tom Daly.
