Well, setting a very low bar and being ok with not quite achieving it is one way to avoid disappointment.

I expect Klopp will want this game replayed given the miscarriage of justice in not sending Konate off????

I believe the flaws in this argument are:- 1. we haven't had to factor in Russball Radicalisation in previous seasons, a system of football that is so complex most of us stupid fans and most of the players seemingly struggle to comprehend it. Confusingly the opposition seem to have sussed it out a few games into the season. 2. When we have lost our best players in the past we have charismatic top quality managers who could attract new high calibre talent, Koeman as one example. We have also had premier league income plus player sales revenue to rebuild we have now sold most of the family silver. 3. We are now in the championship, if we fail to get promoted this season our financial and playing resources will be seriously diminished going into next. 4. We do not have Marcus Liebherr this time to pull us from the brink of oblivion. But, as you say, keep winning and this all becomes academic. However, I'll say again, we need to bounce back his season.

In summary, we really need to go up this season or we could spend years in the doldrums, as many clubs, much bigger than Saints, have done in the past. That I see is the reason, and justification for the impatience and acrimony. He needs to turn it round soon, ideally starting tomorrow, time and tide waits for no man, including the good talkers and smooth operators.

No it definitely doesn’t, we went down as a poor team, sold the best players from that poor team, bought in a few who should be capable of getting us promoted. We’d be the whipping boys, we’d need a playing turnover similar to Forrest’s last season to have a chance, and even then they flirted with relegation.
-
But that's not what we did against Leeds, at least in the first half.

I'm "probably" not a very nice person, but when it comes to the running of SFC I do not give a flying how nice anybody is and how well they come across. In fact I'd welcome a collection of absolute bastards to run the show if that bought us a bit of success, entertainment, excitement and re established a connection with the team. Absolute bollocks to all this high-brow tactical smoke and mirrors that peasants like me do not really get and the touchy feely virtuous shite!

The very thing we do not have if we are to bounce straight back.

1. Stewart - I think a lot of people are expecting too much from him, he's been out for a very long time and is surely going to take weeks or months to hit top condition? 2. Mara - Unlikely

3-1 Hull.”We march on” (to mid table mediocrity)
-
Better still, he likes the lifestyle out there and doesn’t come back.
-
Rasmus has already hailed himself a genius, that’s all he needs. He wouldn’t expect anyone else to understand his genius

Happy birthday Matt. Say what you like mate, you are still Le God.

I’d be shocked if a pragmatist didn’t see it but Rambo isn’t a pragmatist, he’d the opposite, whatever that is, mr “break it”
-
I was wondering who Saints reminded me of this season, thanks for clearing that one up!
-
Your embassing
-
Therein lies a huge problem, with Rambo calling the shots its extremely unlikely
-
I think its safe to conclude you are definitely not Glen de la Cour.

As a result of the injury Ross Stewart’s right leg is now 21mm shorter than his left. It’s a bit of a headache for the physios but there is an upside, apparently they have never seen such proficient arcing runs.
-
He’s not helping himself, he’s taken on a big job and expectations are (were) high. You don’t get that big fat salary for nothing Russel.
-
The word suicidal gets bandied around, but it isn’t that. It’s anger, frustration and disappointment, which has been building for years and it’s being compounded by our crushing mediocrity this season, when we were entitled to expect much better.
-
Over the season so far we have averaged 1.54 points per game, we are sitting 10th in the table with almost a quarter of the season gone. I would not have taken that at the start of the season and don’t find it in any way acceptable now. I’m surprised that Russell is surprised the fans in the stadium aren’t ok with it.
-
Sadly they are already playing for a “noddy club”

I know, someone should have filled in that rabbit hole, down there for two days apparently, eventually one of the Marchwood locals had two send two ferrets and his Jack Russel to get him out.
