Isn't this a bit stupid if the actual SFC is still running? Would just drive people away and SFC would lose out on money if a few people switch to this 1885 team. But I agree, something needs to be set up if the club goes out of existence, yes.

I officially cannot wait. -
I think Forest could also be very good. A bit of a party. Fancy dress, conga's etc.
-
Someone in the Itchen North has "Total Football" on the back of their shirt.

To get away from the takeover/Lowe/Pearson/pitch invasion talk, What has been your favourite moment of the season? If any. For me, has to be that Mcgoldrick winner at Preston - crazy stuff.
-
That's good. Normally new teams have to start far lower, but Blue Square would be a very high start for a new club.
-
I pretty much agree. Although from the top of block 4 I could see punches being exchanged between police and some Saints fans right at the front.
-
The thieving scum that call themself saints fans!!

Basically, there's a fine line between passion and complete stupidity. -
In all honesty mate, there was probably actually about 20-50 people crowded around Burnley that would have actually kicked off. The rest were just kids or anyone watching, waiting around to see if anything was going to actually happen. The 'la la la la la la la - **** off' has been sung for us by ages, whenever the opposing fans sing their team name to that song.
-
Yes, agreed that Man Utd's away support is top quality and they're called Men In Black or whatever, so most of them wear casual clothing. However, just because someone's wearing a replica shirt doesn't mean they're happy clappers and want to sit there and watch the game politely. For instance, I occasionally wear the shirt but still go to pretty much every home and away, and stand and sing, have banter with the opposing support during the game too, but I don't take it too far. The opinion of fans in replica shirts is pretty generic.
-
Fair enough. I just saw the smoke the first time from when it had been thrown from the Burnley end so obviously seemed like it was from them.
-
So from this, you conclude that a large percentage of our support are tossers? and also, I was watching from Itchen North and the smoke bomb was thrown by Burnley from what I saw.
-
Not a clue yet. I am quite looking forward to it now the game will be stress free. Plenty of standing/singing please. Also, like Southend did at SMS, a conga would be good .
-
I fear that's a problem you get with Millwall, rather than most League One clubs. The number of away fans depends on who you're playing. But as we've got a Prem size stadium and facilities, and we are a big club, or relatively a big club anyway, more away fans will turn up to SMS.
-
Oh, **** off.
-
Agreed. We should have a conga, too.
-
With the 'numbers' that were around the Burnley fans, I can guess about maybe 50 people would have been actually 'up for it' if anything happened. The rest would have been kids or others standing around watching and generally just to watch what was happening.
-
There's pitch invasions at every club when they go up, sometimes when they go down. A large percentage of people will always go over to away fans. But to me it seems like there has been a fair share more trouble home and away than there has been before. We are policed as a 'Category C' nowadays meaning we have the same levels of policing as Cardiff, Stoke etc.
-
You had me for a sec..
-
Now we're down I think we should just enjoy the day, so I'm bumping the thread. We're not organised enough to get a theme so I suggest anyone just shove on any fancy dress so we get a variety and maybe have a look around to see who's is the best.
-
True. I am bloody looking forward to it too. . Most League One clubs will have much bigger attendances than average also because they're playing a big club . But honestly I agree that our support think we're bigger than we really are and have a large inferiority complex.
-
We shall not, we shall not be moved, We shall not, we shall not be moved, 'cause we're, gonn'a win the JPT, We shall not be moved!

Some women that go are genuinely quite passionate. The ones that go with a handbag, for instance and generally do **** all are the ones that shouldn't be there. The kids comment is ****ing stupid, however. How do you propose that we get people to start supporting the club? By the time they've got past childhood kids have got a club to support, meaning our fanbase would just drop. I'm sure you first got introduced to football when you were young? I was going week in week out from the age of 5/6 onwards..
