  1. BTF you are right, I worked with them a couple of years ago and the sands of time are catching up and wreaking their revenge..... it is of course the Duke of Westminster and not Prince Phillip
  2. And that's from a squid as well :smt036
  3. Grovesnor is owned by Prince Phillip I believe, which means a husband and wife double act on sinking pompey
  4. No of course it doesnt and I dont believe that was what Jackanory meant at all, but at the slighetst, remotest chance, that something that someone has said or posted can be twisted or suggested to imply racisim, then you do it and it's people like you who do the whole "Racist" issue more harm than good. And for what's worth, here's what I posted earlier Why is it an appalling thing to think? She has obvioulsy based her opinion on some sort of expereince, or discussion with others. I take a taxi twice a day and can tell you, that whilst it is obviously the small majoirty who let the others down, she is absolutely justified in that train of thought. Without a moments hesitation and based on my factual experiences, I can categorically state the percentage of having a longer than required journey, is far higher with foreign drivers. Does that make me racist..... of course not.
  5. Total rubbish as per normal bungle
  6. And yet not a word from the others teams fighting relegation. If I were them, I would be battering the PL. Whilst the PL aren't blameless in all of this, they are in a real fix with regard to what they can do. It looks to me like pompey are going for **** or bust; If they don't lose to HMRC they will get an extension by simply delaying tactics, which leaves them fighting for pl survival......if tyhey manage that, then they have something to sell, if not they are fooked anyway.
  7. Big big fan of Lambert, but am amazed. By his high standards, this was probably his poorest month to date (Form wise)

  9. Will Marc Jackson try and buy the club for a pound, before or after they go into admin. I thought he would have been on the scene by now, may be he is negotiating whilst we type, but if he doesn't turn up, it goes to show that things must be even worse down there, than we thought..... I mean fook me igmagine a south coast team that not even he is interested in.
  10. Exactly and I'm not even sure AP was top of Nicola's
  11. Outside of the expenditure on players, I'm sure we are running at or close to break even. We also have a large squad that will almost certainly be reduced over the next 12 months, but for every 3 lower players that are replaced by one of genuinely quality, i doubt the salary levels will change much.
  12. Two years old, but never read it and very interesting
  13. I posted this one yesterday, on the face of it the powers that be will be stuck for choice. http://www.out-law.com/page-8250 I'm going to make a prediction that Peter Storyteller, gets nicked over this lot.
  14. pompey were / are / sometimes, paying his wages and also paid a loan fee with an agreement in place to purchase. They would had to have agreed the deal as well as Lens....complicated but from my understanding, correct.
  15. Peter Storyteller; Councillor can we borrow 7 million pounds please and 11 big brown envelopes (Gaydamak snr, Gaydamak Jnr, SAF, Al Mirage, Al Mirage's brother, Peter storyteller, Jacobs, Azougy, Chainrai, Harry and MM) Councillor; Bloody hell Pete, that's ten years worth of council tax money, you have to remember only 2% of the portsmouth borough actually pay council tax, the rest are on benefits. And as for the brown envelopes, you've got no chance, there's none left in the whole of portsmouth and we just can't understand it.
  16. Hmmm that's interestig regarding James, as it suggests that they are trying to balance the books, I'm not sure negotiating 50k a week down to 30 or 40 really gets them anywhere in the grand scheme of things, but certainly suggests they are preparing for the future.....very strange, there's a first for everything I suppose
  17. Choose any one of a hundred options that you think might apply http://www.out-law.com/page-8250
  18. Assuming you are correct, would take make the Directors liable, if they went into liquidation or administration
  19. So what happens now? They have raised 9 million in sales, not sure how much actual cash they will get to see, but certainly enough for a couple of pay days. Winding up petition on the 10th, but apparently they have appealed and waiting for a response. So.....will someone put them into admin in the next week, or will they go for one final throw of the dice and go to trial with HMRC. The problem that I can see, is that the owners have no skin in the game - If they go down the admin route, it's over for them and al mirage has lost one pound. If they fight HMRC, they are at least still in with a chance, but if they lose, that's it. I would imagine that Storrie will be pushing for admin, but may be I'm giving him to much credit.
  20. Looks like they might have found a way out, or certainly someone who can attract a money man (No laughing at the spelling or content of the following) http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=227582
  21. Take out the emotion of it being pompey, but lifting the embargo seems to make the PL look pretty stupid in my opinion, given they cant pay the ones they have.
  22. They might need to factor in a a minus 7 million of the kaboul asking price...... that could be a very expensive own goal
  23. Fook me I knew that lot down the road were thick, but this takes the biscuit. Seems they have a similar thread to this one, only there best song is "You can stick your nazi owner up your arse" http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=224916 Do they not know who owned (Or probably does still) own them oh and apparently a family of four for the stockport game is 4 pounds and thats why we get such big crowds. Real bright sparks the lot of them
  24. avram likes the thai girls a quick sh@g or a blow but pompey didnt pay him so he could only afford one go (My old mans a dustbin)
  25. Only for three more weeks........ Then he will delete it and never want to hear it again.
