  1. LOL....... that one makes the book from this thread
  2. I think its safe to say it wont be Sacha who puts them in Admin. But how much longer he keeps bailing them out remains to be seen
  3. Very different situations, but ultimately we put oursleves in admin - so the Directors wouldnt become liable. The same liabilities could effect pompey directors......if they could ever find them
  4. Actually they could be ok. The article suggests that out of the 11 million only 3 will go to other clubs, leaving them 8 million, minus the 2 mill for wages and they have 6 mill......less the tax man which they said would be sorted early January and they still have enough for this months wages. I think they will stumble through for the rest of the season and their future will be decided by relegation http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/portsmouth/article6977045.ece
  5. Brilliant .....thanks cloth ears I was at all the home matches. Funny what time does to your memory, I could have sworn we won 1 .0 against West Brom when Golac scored that stunner

  7. Damn..... if it wasn't for those pesky kids.....
  8. Not that we should beleive anything they come out with, but apparently they are releasing a statement this afternoon, explaining everything is good again financially - see guardian link, few posts back
  9. Total and utter bull ****
  10. Can you send them to Colin Farmery as Sacha has lost his set and if the link didnt work it should now. http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/article.php?id=1274
  11. Try this one or watch Jackonary tonight http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/article.php?id=1274
  12. http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/article.php?id=1274#articlecontinues Can someone help me out here...... would you really sell a company and not keep copies of the accounts for the period you were in charge? Surley, say if the Tax man wanted to investigate some sort of fraud, you would have the accounts. As for having one of the lowest debt ratios when he left....... i give up... they are fooked
  13. It's not exactly "Manic" at the best of times
  14. The wheels are starting to turn. pompey have lost one of their biggest allies today, as I think we can assume, based on their actions, that they no longer have the support of the Premier League. Not just the fact of paying the money directly to other clubs, but forcing Ohara out, shows they have run out of patience. They want them gone, pompey have embarrassed their brand (Although I suspect a few more clubs will follow them) and the fat ladys dressing room is being prepared. They might well of course come up with another few million, to keep them going and might even pay their players today, but whether it's admin, gadamak revealed as the true owner or the tax man closing them down, the only thing that will save them as a club, is a white knight and i'm not sure how many of those are left. Whilst it has been fun to watch and sneer so far, the end game is nearly here.
  15. I would suggest that would be a dream outcome for pompey.
  16. Yep sorry, missed your bit to include all the players.
  17. You make a good point. (Although I can't agree with what you think Administrastors will hold out for - We owed 24 million to Aviva and the whole deal went through for 12 Million, including Staplewood, Barclays and other debts) The land and stadium DO have a value and I'm not sure pompey could count on the morals of those in charge, to do what is best for the club, when it could be worth a couple of mill more than the Administrators can raise.
  18. What site
  19. What the fook are you on about If the club go into Admin, sacha and co lose control and will have no say in how much is paid. If they don't agree the value the admimistrator accepts then they can refuse to sign the CVA which is more points deducted. As for if there is 5 pence in the pound left from the wreckage (Start by deleting the word owed in your sentance) do some basic maths, approx 100 million in debt, losing money each month and future TV revenue already allocated to pay off loans etc, take off the assets (0.0001p)...... it aint pretty
  20. http://archive.globes.co.il/searchgl/Arcadi%20Gaydamak%20found%20guilty%20of%20arms%20trafficking_h_hd_2L34nDpKuCrmnC30mDJ0uDpStBcXqRMm0.html http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/portsmouth/article4754215.ece
  21. Someone mentioned on this thread that Lifelongpompey will make an appearance at some point (Which he will) but given the level of debt and lack of assets, "Administration" will attract all sorts of freaks believing they can pick up a football club for next to nothing and the only thing of any real value would be the parachute payments. Probably far to simplistic but Option 1 debts somewhere near 100 million, club go into admin and new buyer pays (Pure guess) 10p in the pound - debts are cleared and youve bought yourself a championship club , with a conference league stadium for 10 mill. Option 2 You pay nothing off, but take on the debt and buy the club for a penny Both of those options will have certain people coming in their pants.
  22. That would make this a bizarre thing to say unless it was a double bluff, which would suggest they are very confident of not being found out. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/dec/31/portsmouth-sacha-gaydamak-winding-up-order
  23. Research has revealed that Al Faraj is not listed as a director or shareholder of any company registered in Saudi Arabia. But there are suggestions that he may have connections with the Saudi Ministry of Defence. If that is the case, it might explain why he is shrouded in such mystery and companies might be held in other names. Sources have also told The Mail On Sunday that Al Faraj trades in commodities, including oil and gold, and that his property portfolio includes a building in the City of London with a value of £48m Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1238589/No-Christmas-pay-Portsmouth-Debts-mean-Pompey-sell-stars-just-going.html#ixzz0be1V9lSM
