Well , well, well, if the public had any sympathy for the strikers before, (Which they didn't) anybody who has seen the video footage of the strike being announced at the union meeting, will see them for the ***ts they are. Think of what the Northam looks like when Saints score a last minute equaliser Sack the lot them & get rid of the unions

Clapham will know best ignore my post above

More techincally than inadvertantly, but i guess you prioritise who you pay when you are in their situation. I'm guessing Watford have just shot up list in terms of who gets paid next

If you read the thread you will see most people don't think he will go anywhere and certainly not in January. However, you are kidding yourself if you think that we will hold on to all of our best players. Whilst perhaps there is no financial requirement to do so, every player has his price and the reality is that it is down to the player. If we dont make the play offs this year and don't look like automatic contenders, next season, what do you expect Lallana and co to do when the Prem boys come knocking. Things are certainly much much better than they were, but we will still lose some of our best players.

Whilst I have no doubt that the staff have some genuine issues, (Of which BA are at fault) there can be no excuse for striking over Christmas and ultimately cutting of the hand that feeds you. The public will quite rightly judge them and act accordingly. So when those that strike enjoy their time off - get used to it, because you'll have a lot more time on your hands when the company goes bust - Or is reborn into something else. The whole commercial world has changed and not least the airline industry and it wll be the companies that adapt that survive. Does that mena BA have to become another Ryan air - Ive no idea, but if the strike goes ahead theres more chance of them being a "lakers", than a Ryan air

Unless of course (As per the the last lot) the stadium was a seperate company, who billed the holding company for it's services (Now of course you could do the books across the group) but as a stand alone company the loan and interest would be the expense and profit or loss would be a straight calculation against, takings to outgoings.(With all of the other acccountacy rules thrown into the mix)

Unless of course he asked for permission. But all meaningless as he won't be leaving in Janary

There is a rule that you cvan only play for two but you can appeal (Paul Jones did and won) However, he won't be going in January. If he gets his 30 goals again (which would be two seasons running) then of course clubs will come sniffing. Very few players hit that sort of volume consistantly. But it's not just Lambert, you've got Lallana, Morgan, Harding, Hammond who will all attract interest and then Waigo and Antonio on loans. If we dont make the playoffs this season, it will be as much about keeping the squad together as it is bringing in new faces.

No labour fooked up this country, Maggie made it great again and then labour fooked it up again...... never forget

That's the crux of the whole argument. 99% of Saints fans continue to hold MLT in the highest regard and have him firmly rooted to his pedastal. He did so much for us, that he is rightly afforded legendary status and people can look beyond his indiscretion. For some reason you don't like that and ultimately that is something you will have to live with as it really isn't going to change and Matty will be revered by many for years to come

As if we couldnt guess where all this was leading. Mods - Wrong forum for this thread

Is there a doctor in the house??????????????

Now that would be an interesting comparisson. Both midfielders and set piece takers - Matts Stats are better Beckhams (And that's with Beckham having better players around him) but obviously Beckham was the fashionable superstar. Pound for pound, with both of them at their very best - I would take Le Tissier

Go get the listen again, MB post it up here and then I might MB with you

It's sinking his balls with his eyes shut, that's got him into all this trouble

If we could have kept Keegan for one more season, I think we would have been there. I'm not sure on my dates, but wasn't Keith Cassells part of that squad? If he was then theres your answer, any squad with Cassells in was never going to win anything. He must have had some serious pictures of LM to even be let in the ground let alone play I'm sure this is just an urban myth, but remember from the old board someone saying that if in the 83/ 84 season the points for a win were 3 points instead of two (As it was then - Changed the following season i think) we would have actually won the league - Any statos out there no anything about that
-
No they didn't
-
I'll put the rest up tomorrow
-
That was the squad that got them relegated in the first place. So effectively what you are saying is that a similar squad that was releagted under a previous manager has been turned around to challenge for promotion by Pearson ...... Fook me he must be pretty good that Pearson fella
