The basics of a goalkeepers job is shotstopping and passing, both of which Forster is better at. The ONLY place McCarthy is better is at claiming crosses when under no pressure.
-
I have never seen a single person say that. Do you think he's better than McCarthy?
-
Why don't you fuck off to some forum utopia where everything is unilaterally praised regardless of how things are going if you hate it here so much.
-
That's a definite penalty. Ridiculous decision.
-
Broja clattered round the head and nothing given, when seconds before Bednarek was penalised for touching Llorentes shoulder.
-
What the fuck was that foul given for??
-
Really good run and cross from Diallo.
-
Adams shoved off the ball there, nothing given again.
-
Those long throws are still awful. We never, ever get the first touch from them, even the times when we've scored.
-
Why the fuck did he take that with his right foot!?!?
-
Get Perraud on for Livramento at half time for fuck sake.
-
People said the team picked was wrong, then said we weren't playing well, now we're losing. Maybe those people were just right rather than bellends?
-
How in the fuck is that not a foul on Broja just before they score there. Absolute piss take, that seems to have happened to us so many times where a foul occurs just too far back for VAR to overturn it but close enough that it would have affected the outcome.
-
Brilliant play from Elyounoussi there on the wing. Just after a piss poor pass from Livramento who I maintain needs to be dropped for a while.
-
Remember when keepers used to hold those types of shots?
-
Because Long has actually been a productive member of the squad and contributed to good performances this season. Redmond has not.
-
Feel really bad for Perraud. Our best performances have come with him at left back, he's been absolutely superb, and he keeps getting relegated to the bench to accommodate the inconsistent Livramento.
-
Each of the first team squad would have to give up a gigantic £460 a week to pay the women a £25,000 a year salary each. We're either serious about supporting women's football or we're not, it's not a case of giving them a hand me out it's paying them an average workers full time wage to train full-time.
-
I think the money saved on wages from all the dross we've dropped over the last two seasons would cover it more than easily. 25,000 each for a squad of 25 is only £625,000...that's £12,000 a week. We can pay our entire women's squad for the equivalent of what is probably a single lower championship players wage.
-
So the girls are all part timers at the moment I believe. We pay the men's players anywhere from £50-100k a week, could we not afford to pay these girls just a respectable yearly salary at say £25-30k a year and have them train full time?
-
Ffs, that'll keep Mings in the squad for a while.
-
Poor from England the last 20 minutes. Players screaming for it in the wide positions then when they get it just immediately going backwards without looking for a forward option. Playing it so conservative in a friendly V 10 men.
-
Bizarre isn't it. Not like he needs to see if he can cover a shortage of right backs with a CB. Prowsey barely put a foot wrong, some really good passing. Sterling looked a lot better when he came off the right wing. Not too impressed with Mitchell, seems unsure what to do when he has the ball.
-
As I said last summer when I advocated for bringing him back, we didn't need him to be a world beater for it to be worth it, we just needed him to be better than Redmond, Djenepo and Walcott. He has been. We should absolutely look to improve that position, but he should drop down to third choice and two of the other three should go not him.
