That freekick was taken much further out than the foul was.
-
And then they're lazy with the attempts to set people up, like that pass from Foden to JWP there. Swear to god if someone else takes this freekick...
-
They're not CMs, they play as part of the attacking 3.
-
He'll get dropped for Declan Rice, despite being the best English centre midfielder in the Prem this season.
-
Not really. Just a fun little freak of statistics. Teams generally don't try that hard against San Marino from kick off, let alone when they're 5+ goals up.
-
Southampton have lost 9-0 more times in the last two seasons than San Marino.
-
I did the same thing and was looking at the midfield thinking where the hell is ward Prowse.
-
Eventually no they couldnt, but to begin with it was.

Some interesting players going to be out of contract on this list. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/endendevertraege Particularly some decent experienced centrebacks on that list. We need experience and especially a leader in the side. Jerome Boateng would be a real coup, although probably out of our price range, but Romain Saiss could be a good shout.

Horrendous scenes in Bristol and it's being largely ignored in the news and on social media. Crazy. This new bill doesn't even affect protests that much, it only gives the police the right to set start and finish times and control noise levels.

Southampton 0-1 Leicester - Match Thread

Struggling to be optimistic as it seems so long since something went properly right for us. -
I wish he contributed as much as Redmond. Adams goal record is actually pretty good for a lower Prem team by the way.
-
But going by goal and assist returns, all those players he listed got more than Redmond in a lot less playing time. People can say whatever they want but overall he hasn't been great for us. Sums it up that people are listing 3 games, 2 against lower league opposition and one from about 4 or 5 years ago, and saying "see, he turns it on in the big games".

To whomever reacted to my post, perhaps you would instead like to explain why you think we would have a better chance against City or Chelsea than against United? -

Snigger all you want but we've come out and admitted we prioritised the FA cup from the start this season and it shows in our performances. I would fancy our chances with them much more than I would Chelsea or City. -
It's got to be somewhere I suppose, might as well be where it would be anyway.

Chelsea and City are the two I really don't want to get, i'd fancy our chances against any of the others including a United with no Mourinho or Ibra. -
Saw a rangers player say if no action is taken it shows the authorities are endorsing racism in the game. If it can't be proven then what can they do?

Damn first post beat me to it, although I think the only situation we could afford him and would be signing a new centreback would be if Vestergaard was sold. I like Pereira and Diangana at West Brom, other than them and Anderson no-one for me. Although I don't think we could afford any of them.
-
Brilliant performance against lower league opposition. The biggest thing for me was in his post match interview he acknowledged that he isn't running at defenders as much as he used to and he isn't sure why he changed. First step to fixing a problem is admitting there is one. Hopefully this spurs him onto a run of form till the end of the season and we can finally turn a corner with him.

Don't believe in signs, but earlier this month I said goodbye to my dad and as he was born in Scotland his final song at the service was Flower of Scotland played by the Royal Scots Dragoons. Picked up his ashes today and as I get home I see on the TV that there's a horse running in the 15:15 at Cheltenham called...Flower of Scotland. He passed just before my birthday. I'll take this as a present from beyond the grave.
-
I think they're much the same, inconsistent and very little return for their place in the team.

Gerrard's learnt from Lampards failure. He'll want to prove himself at a lower Prem team before going to Liverpool or another big team.
