We did indeed, but we are lacking Ings now. We can still get a result but it's not surprising people aren't optimistic when our bench has more youth teamers than players that have made premier league appearances.
-
I think it's pronounced "Jack".
-
...right? But you're comparing the reaction to the teamsheets to the performance that followed.
-
Big difference is Ings was up front and scored a goal out of nowhere, then we dug in and defended for our lives the rest of the game.
-
Smallbone? Would have rather seen Valery given another chance on the right wing.
-
The Diallo and Salisu signings could indicate we'll be cashing in on a combination of JWP/Romeu/Vestergaard/Bednarek.
-
As others have said unless we get someone in on a free we'll be paying out more than his wages are worth on a transfer fee plus the new players wages anyway.
-
All these links to CMs...preparing for JWP to one of the big boys in the summer? Or just planning ahead for Romeus inevitable decline (isn't he 30 now?)
-
That's pretty odd...do you have a screenshot? Don't have Instagram.
-
I thought they were doing fourth and fifth round draws?
-
Even league one and league two players earn far above what most people earn so it's still a hell of a career for them.
-
Probably agent talk, but I always love the idea of a random free transfer that no-one has heard of in the hope they turn out to be a diamond.
-
Infuriating isn't it, imagine if we hadn't been shackled by the wages of Forster, Hoedt, Boufal, Lemina, Carrillo and probably someone else I'm forgetting, as well as the £19million we wasted on Carrillo just before Ralph came in. By the time we get to a point where he can spend some decent money for players that really suit his system, it'll probably be about time he wants to move on.
-
I think we need Romeu to do a job on Tielemans.
-
Always makes me wonder why we don't make our kits in house. You'd sell a lot more with a fan designed, fan voted shirt and keep all the profits instead of a portion going to the manufacturer. Depends how much they pay us to make our kits I suppose. Have to say not much of a fan of that one though, in the age of half and half shirts it looks a little too much like one of them.

What I said wasn't incorrect 😂🤦♂️

Tomori would want to be a starter which he wouldn't be here, not right away. He could potentially be a Bednarek replacement (as I don't see him signing a new contract), but I'd rather we tried to sign someone better. We should be aiming to have our defence as solid as when we had the likes of Fonte, Aldeweireld and Van Dijk back there.
-
Only thing in the article I don't really agree with is the notion we attack as a 2-4-4. We've all complained at one time or another about Bertrand this season, but in the Liverpool game I think I realised that him sitting back was intentional. He doesn't have the pace or the stamina any more to bomb up and down the wing all game long like KWP does and so we're using him effectively as an extra defender in case of counter.
-
Ironically enough one of the places I can see him going is Leicester, if the rumours of Rodgers to Chelsea have anything about them.
-
He'll go back to banging them in, criminally misused by West Ham and a little surprised he's leaving even with his lack of goal return, he starts almost every game for them.
-
Are you blind? Lighthouse confirmed it in the picture you posted, duh.
-
If Derby are allowed to send youth players instead of first team then Shrewsbury should be told to do the same or forfeit, ffs. We're going to end up with an additional midweek game now.
-
Under no circumstances should JWPs position be dicked around with again. Centre midfield is his now.
-
Well that's not true, he played there on occasion but the vast majority of his time there was up front as part of a 2.
-
Oriol will be straight back into the team, he's made more tackles than any other midfielder (player possibly) in the Prem and has been a vital part of our play both going forwards and defending. Diallo has a long way to go.
