JWP has been superb this second half getting control of the midfield. He doesn't have much pace but positions himself brilliantly when he has the ball so that the only way the opposition player near him can get the ball if by fouling him. Great awareness.

First match back from injury means he's been rusty, but still showed he has some class.

Those ratings for the defence aren't good by any stretch. Bednarek has made some good interceptions which will have him rated as the best of a bad bunch right now. Surprised to see Redmond's so high as he hasn't had huge success in what he's done so far, although I think he's had a much better game than usual.

They don't "think" anything, they make those ratings based on actual success/failure and stats on the pitch.

In those situations I've always thought it's better for the defender to just drop a yard off and let him have it. He's facing away from goal, he's no immediate threat, so keep your eye on the flick ons and if he does bring it down THEN you get tight.

These aerial crosses are pointless. We should be looking for one two combinations down the flank and then quick balls along the ground either in behind or pulled back to the edge of the box.

Watching Vestergaard pass the ball crossfield to KWP like that reminds me of the classic Hajto to Kosowski combination.
