He barely got much of a chance in the Prem, and that was at the back end of the dark days in between Koeman and Ralph. Scoring a hat trick against Motherwell will help his case more than not scoring against Motherwell. And Ralph has said there is the opportunity for him to challenge in the side next summer.

I hope we've learnt from the mistake we made with Koeman. If Ralph starts getting interest from top clubs but is willing to stay with a large pay increase, give him the god damn money. We paid more out to Puel, Pellegrino and Hughes than we would have done just giving Koeman the contract he was asking for. Similar to now - we might be able to find a cheaper manager if we let Ralph go, but then we could end up with another 3-4 years of regression.

Who cares, they're still gonna have to show us at the top of the table at the end of the show.

Believe we've now equalled our Prem record wins in a row with 5, a 6th in the row would be immense.

It's an ominous sign that covid is going to get much, much worse in this international break and the human race will never recover. Still, at least Saints were top of the league when the world ended.

Not to spoil the positive mood, but just want to say I fucking hate how often international breaks come around.

Really hope we sign him on a free at the end of the season. I know he's 31 and on his way out but I genuinely believe having players like him, Ings, JWP, Bertrand, Long around who have great love for the club is what drives our style of play even further.

If you were going to lay heavy on it, £100 or £200 say, now would be the time to do it. A drop in form and us falling down the table again would see the cashout shoot up.

I get that something is going on that demands his privacy (although even the most disastrous events in my life didn't allow me to take this much time off work), but it really would be just our luck to spend that money on a CB who is good enough but ends up leaving for a pittance without ever playing because something happened that ruined his perception of the place.

Harsh on Obafemi, he's had some cracking finishes and assists but is inconsistent, to be expected from a 19 year old. I think he's definitely got a future with us, Ings might be off next summer.

Hold my hands up and say I was wrong. He's developed into an outstanding premier league forward.
