Melis off the post Papa over the top from the rebound

Until he loses about 4kg he'd look poor in Salisbury & District League 3
-
Merrington moaning again about the shape we have been set up in. Sounds like we are a mess and haven't started playing football at all missed a sitter
-
Rooney 1-1
-
Uh oh, we are apparently looking narrow again, no width... we all know how THAT ended up on Tuesday
-
he worked for Radio Hants who went bust, you're listeing to the delights of Radio Solent
-
Crowd sound great again. We got a cross into the box from the bye-line and almost scored again.... thought we'd forgotten where that part of the pitch was. C'mon Saints, they have 2 reserve CB's in the team, we need to have this done and dusted before we get squeaky bum time again
-
That should shut up the Lambert moaners then get in
-
What's going on substitutions and players in wrong shirts... Sounds like Solent on form then

History repeats itself. Behind the hysterical mirth at the time you have all seen this before. You have a middleman with an ego, he meets a middle (woman) with a product to sell. The middleman goes to a backer, sets up a deal without completing all the contractual issues, NDA's etc. The middleman marches in and naively announces that he has brought the football club, gives embarrassing TV interview and within moments finds himself escorted from the building. The ONLY difference between THAT story and Bournemouth was that the money men completed the deal and The Abu Dhabi Royal Family bought Man City. Now fast forward, you have an egotist who has contacts, he will be used to having a laisse-fair (sic) regulatory environment where "things are worked around. he hears of another deal and learns his lessons so tightens up all the legal side and mounts his bid to buy a club. The first problem he now hits is that his money is (in all likelihood) coming from a Royal Family Member which is not something that can be "worked around" as it would be down here, hence the attempts to set up an Offshore SPV from Switzerland. At the same time, he will have other contacts based in Dubai who offer to back him up, unfortunately Thailand's finest is no longer likely to be welcomed either. Again, for an egotist with connections that would be no problem as he would know that Dubai Inc had expressed Public interest in two football clubs previously and so would obviously back him up when he delivered a club on a plate to them. That last bit backfired because Dubai Inc has other ideas on Value Add from a football club, and the man in the system (not the Boss of course) who would drive it is in fact an Arsenal Supporter a very wise and respected businessman and someone who shuns any form of media attention in business dealings and lol is probably aware of the true value of that lot up the road. So, you had two middlemen. One learnt a hard lesson and tried a slightly different approach (and as he and we all agree now, luckily failed leaving Markus with Saints). Al Fahim is a reported Billionaire. I am surprised that the press (who are enjoying this now as much as we are) haven't done some real deep down dsigging into his whole background and how Hydra came about and why HE isn't putting any of his billions into the club. hell, I could have leveraged some loan finance for the Skates, I posted how to do it AGES ago, when showing how a fan could do a hicks and Gillett, and yet they feted this guy as a hero.... Fishy is not the word Micky

With you 100% on the technicalities. But the words in Storrie's statement indicate another possible reality. He has no idea about the Faraj loan... Except it IS securitised So the CEO of a large UK company admits to not knowing what is going on? Debentures notwithstanding, this smells a funny colour But I'm sure that Al Fahim's blunderings have not been well looked upon by the Powers that Be here, especially as they are working very hard to rebuild the image of this place and all they get for their troubles are headlines that make everyone in sport laugh. Perhaps they'll get some professionals in after all and can focus on trying to buy a new team in January.... spin out the hope for them I say - that's what always hurts, the despair of going down is always worse when you keep trying to have hope.

Here you go, this is rare, DP takes a strong stand on something. Leon may or may not have done something to help us survive during admin. WHEN somebody can show me proof that what he did had NO STRINGS ATTACHED then maybe I will change my stance. Otherwise, Leon Crouch was a disaster for this club. What ever his motivation, he decided to side with Mike Wilde, and between them, the PAIR of them FAILED to rid the club of Rupert Lowe. For whatever reason, they left the door open that let him back in with his magical plan. Maybe he could have sided with Rupert and used his position to temper his weird excesses, but oh no he nailed his colours to the Let's go Wilde mast, so for THAT alone he FAILED this club Sorry, when the history of SFC is written in 20 years time, he holds as much blame for the loss of our CCC status as anyone else. I for one am happy he is consigned to the history books UNLESS he spends his money on tickets each week like everyone else. His media management was atrocious and his Churchillian speeches were an embarrassment. He may be a nice bloke but he is history. Long Live Markus oh and yes I am jet lagged and hissed off

There but for the Grace of God goes each and every one of us. Let the first person who has never made a mistake cast the first stone If it had been Drunk Driving then he and anyone else who caused such a disaster should get life. In his case, he will carry this forever, that is a hard punishment to take, IF ONLY are the two worst words in the English Language, and nobody so young shoud have to endure them. But, on the other hand, For the family, 32 months is nothing. For the victims, perhaps the law is wrong, perhaps he should pay for the rest of his working and pensionable life with deductions from his or anyone else that does something like this salary. Tragic and stupid. But show me one person who has never made one stupid mistake or one stupid thing they said sometime somewhere that they regret in their life and I will show you a liar.

Apparently, his last big hope, Umm Al Quwain TV have decided not to buy the rights to his reality TV Hydra Executives Season 2. They were the last broadcaster left with any chance of paying anything to show it. Apparently he is in talks with PBS in the US Meanwhile bidding for the alternative Reality TV show - How not to buy a football club, produced by moi and starring Jacko, Lynam and Al Fahim has now reached 80 mil in bidding rights. Another week & I will buy Newcastle just to do them over as well

The option of bringing back KK as a feel good factor is now gone. IF we could win a game or two we'd have our own FgF way above what he could bring. BTW did you know WGS was offered the SD job, went away on vacation and turned it down. According to the bloke who washes the trucks at the cement works. Oh and yes the washer did say why, and no as he hasn't gone anywhere else yet I won't say just in case I need to beg for a Play off Final ticket one day

Might be worth asking what the Southampton Area spend on marketing to foreign tourists each year. Getting a WC base would be far wider reaching than the few pages on the Visit England Web Site Just the Hotel Occupancy levels for the games would bring in a bunch of revenue - just remember to charge a Local Council "Visitors Development Levy" on the room rates during game time

Sorry about Everton matey. Two out of the three are sorted, last choice was a toughie, The Florida State Lottery winning ticket worth $134mil or an airmiles ticket for Lucy P to a 6 month long photo shoot at my place Tough call

precisely, some people allegedly made a LOT of money from bets placed just before he walked his odds plummeted about 24 hours before we had even a sniff of a problem

Drowned our sorrows with a quick pint in Plaitford on the way back! Body clock is completely screwed at the mo! Say hi to Sparky & Neil when you see them next and of course let them know "I told you so!" Now what was that ruling about a place in the Blue Square Conference that they were joyously chatting about on their forum back in May, better dust that one off for them as well!

Oh good, having read all this now I understand. Good news fishy friends, you will not be going bust. You are going down and you will get the minus 9 pretty soon. Clever old Storrie has stitched up the fake Sheikh faster than the quacks down here, and as he's so thick, no problem me telling him what's happened. The club is screwed. So, the Faraj's have just bought themselves a nice little CCC club for 5 million quid. Their loan has been securitised, no mention how, but I am willing to bet a couple of pints of 6X it is against the fixed assets of the club - ie the Stadium hence the reluctance to make a statement. Storrie knows the Sheikh won't cough up (can't use a mobile in hospital is the next excuse) so he know the club goes pop on or around 15th October Mark Fry marches in and finds he only has a football team to liquidate the stadium is owned by the Faraj's at the point of default. There's some toing and throwing, Fry will hang up on a bunch of people and nobody will be able to work out a deal allowing the Faraj's to run PFC 2009 in their own stadium and do a deal with the FL/PL to pay 10p in the pound of the old football debts. Siimples

I have many friends who are Pompey fans. Face to face and in the pub they were as concerned about our future over the past year as many of us really are today. However, that is tempered by the fact that a great many others from that area took great glee at our demise. Also, many of them started to open the champagne corks when their Sheikh was first taken to a game and rubbed our noses in it ON OUR FORUM. So, yes they are a part of our heritage and history but then so were dinosaurs. If they fold I will feel sorry for some of the good people who lose their jobs and some friends who will be distraught, but to the others - Sod 'em, serves them right, sorry. We got into our mess because of incompetence, petty small minded businessmen and their egos. They got into their mess by pure greed. They chose to support their "Live by the Sword" approach, well sorry, if Storrie was to say it was his fault for letting the money go, or the fans to apologise for being arrogant tw&ts when we were in trouble I would join your crusade. Right now, ain't gloating, it's pure laughter

Now, where have we seen that pattern of betting before?
-
I was racking my brains to try and think what else could happen to spoil the weekend for our fishy friends..... Just one little bit left would be to find out that their dealings in the spend spend spend days were one brick short of a full load when it came to "corporate compliance" TBH, for ALL our sakes, I really hope your alleged allegation of a possible rumour is not true, I really really really can't take any more hysterical laughter.... My own fault though, shouldn't have watched Pineapple Express last night on DVD

I think we all know a perfect management team to help them should that happen and they need to play their boysh
