  1. Its true that the army did effectively neutralise the IRA through infiltration and other forms of intelligence - towards the end over 90% of IRA actions were foiled before execution. However you have to consider the background against which the armed struggle lost support and people became more prepared to inform. Improving relations between the Republic of Ireland and the UK; voluntary devolution for Wales and Scotland and massive aid to create jobs / build huge numbers of better quality houses made many Republicans realise that violence was actually delaying political progress in NI, not helping bring it about. I dont see those parallel circumstances in Israel / Gaza.
  2. Whitey Grandad
  3. If they'd come on the same flight we could have saved on the taxi.
  4. A shed load I'd imagine. Even Samaras wants to see how the team looks before he signs (if accurate). Obviously in terms of attracting players we should have bought before we sold - but Im sure its not as simple as that.
  5. And Davis and Gazzaniga
  6. And the value of saying that is what? People need to know when its important to speak and when its important to stfu.
  7. The guy who bought our club, started its renaissance and whose money is still funding it is dead. You have zero evidence that he wasnt a successful businessman beyond supposition. So why impugn somebody who has done so much for this club based on nothing at all? Im not sure what reaction you expected tbh.
  8. "Southampton in a few weeks sold more than 100 million footballers" I knew things were bad but.... The translation is poor but the "son of the Prime Minister", really? Cvjetičanin near Southampton Oskar Cvjetičanin after Jan Mlakar, Jonah Gorencu Stankovic and Port Šušnjara following Domžale young footballer who is moving abroad. Son Alenka Bratušek just before crossing the English Southampton. Triglav Kranj last year, when Oskar Cvjetičanin moved to Domžale, lost power talented footballer. It is also a good opportunity for potential earnings. The tall defender, namely, the son of Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek, it is within one year of Domžalah of attention, but now it's after, despite his young age has repeatedly been training with the senior team Domžale, before moving abroad. We learned that the champion U15 league with Triglav, as well as cadet national champion with Domžale (he played at the Nike Cup in Manchester) and national player in his age category, on the threshold of crossing the English Southampton. The club from the south coast of England is famous as one of the best "prozivajalcev 'footballers in England, which ultimately proved by the results of the club last season and, consequently, millions of sales (Southampton is in a few weeks, sold more than 100 million footballers). What will be the crossing of the details on which the parties have negotiated is not known. Probably the usual Loan, any conclude Domzale (Stanković, Šušnjara ...) will not work, as it is not known if he will provide the first league Domžale percent of damages in case of any further sale of talented defender. If you will not be any complications, will be the club confirmed the deal in the coming days.
  9. That kind of thing takes more than six months to organise though. Might be a possibility for next year.
  10. What time?
  11. Inter is the name that keeps cropping up as our primary competition for his signature. You'd have to assume that we're talking to them about Osvaldo, Hernandez and the loans as one big package. Wouldnt be surprised if they're playing hardball - 'unless you take our dross we wont take Osvaldo and will go for Hernadez instead'.
  12. Celtic are pretty sharp when it comes to transfers. They spot good players, buy them in cheap (van Dijk, Wanyama, Forster etc) and sell them high. No way will they take Gazzaniga.
  13. The search for MH270 will start in September when ocean floor survey work of the search area is completed. http://www.ibtimes.com/malaysia-airlines-search-update-australia-says-deep-sea-search-mh370-track-september-1645582

  18. So they didnt leave for CL glory then, it was just for the money. Who'd have thunk it?
  19. He was good but had too many flaws to be outstanding. Yes he seemed to get the players to buy into his methods and ideas very effectively and the tactics worked a lot of time, certainly usually in the first half. However he was too much of a slave to Bielsa's ideas and wouldnt / couldnt adapt when things werent working. He also bought poorly and failed to integrate signings well and most notably didnt pace the team, meaning we faded badly as the games wore on.
  20. Its a good article as far as it goes - 'both sides have done wrong and both sides are partly right' - but thats not a new thought. The tricky part is identifying a solution.
  21. He may be now but being paid tens of thousands pw, written about in papers, appearing on tv and being adored by fans changes almost everybody.
  22. Not sure we could outbid Bayern, Man U, Real etc. £12m for a 15 year old apparently. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2711812/Martin-Odegaard-The-15-year-old-teen-sensation-Norway-eyed-Real-Madrid-12million.html
