  1. Wages and transfers mainly. Its not a question of belief its a question of facts in audited accounts. The figures are explained in black and white and are checked by external auditors. In the 5 years years up to June 2013 neither KL nor her dad took any money out of the club they only pumped cash in, lots of it, at least £70m. The figures for the year just gone ie from 1st July 2013 to 30th June 2014 wont be ready until spring next year but I'll bet you any money you like that again she wont have taken money out.
  2. Just google it, its not hard. In the first year of the PL wages alone were more than income and in 2012/13 they were still nearly two thirds of income. During that time and subsequently there has been spending of £30m on Staplewood and £60m odd transfer fees for Osvaldo, Mayuka, Forren, Rodriguez, Lovren, Ramirez, Wanyama etc etc. KL had to bail the club out with £52m just in the two years period up till 30th June 2013. Under Cortese Saints haemoraged money, some of it unavoidable as we geared up to compete in the PL, some of it wasted. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/31032014-financial-results-201213-1455995.aspx http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27411682
  3. Excellent post. Agree with all of that.
  4. Its his 'new' little joke. Give it another 6 months to run, endlessly repetitive.
  5. Yep many thanks.
  6. Err aren't you the one who mentioned the £25m?
  7. £25m? for Forster and van Dijk? Thought it would be more like £14m
  8. Not sure Ralph has got the tits for it.
  9. No mention of VvD?
  10. He looks a good player - but that vid looks like the 'best fouls on Taider' compilation
  11. Very nippy in winter
  12. And the skin, either orange or grey apparently.
  13. Its always been the case that rich have a massive edge in trials but never as blantant as this. Ecclestone is worth about £2.5bn so the fine is about 2.5% of his wealth. That would be like an average guy in getting off a, say, three year jail sentence for a payment of £5,000 max.
  14. I freely admit I know next to nothing about FFP. If the wages are restricted by going up by no more than 5% what happens to the huge increase in tv money?
  15. This couldnt go on the CB Watch thread?
  16. Bernie Ecclestone was on trial in Germany for paying a £30m bribe to a German banker in order to stay in control of Formula 1. He faced years in prison but instead the German court has let him buy his way out of conviction with a £60m payment - practically peanuts for a billionaire. Seems odd / totally perverse to me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-28656050
  17. I never really understood the Wanyama signing as Schneiderlin, he and Cork are too similar - you dont need more than one of them in a team unless you are playing very defensively. If this season the team is playing more offensively surely either Schneiderlin or Cork must be off?
  18. Its a sea change in the way papers operate. They used to be dependent on loyal readership buying the paper so needed to be balanced. Now its all about writing something contentious that encourages people to click on the story as they get advertising revenue for every 'visit'. Facts and consistency dont matter anymore, they'll happily contradict whatever they wrote yesterday as long as they can lure another herd of people to respond to the headline.
  19. Seems to me, based on pre-season, that the midfielders have been told to shoot from distance instead of trying to pass their way into the goal - and we've scored quite a few that way. Problem is that we havent yet got proper service to Pelle and he looks frustrated. If we can work out a way to do both we'll do well.
  20. Agree. I think we've done 'okay' so far. Need a good cb obviously and a better depth at GK and rb.
  21. People get labelled a troll for relentlessly spamming up the board with the same opinion repeated ad infinitum.
  22. Unfortunately the first page of google results is all about the author. You do make it to page 2 though! You are officially 6.5 out of 10. I'd mark you higher than that. Rudy Kraft attorney gives a different set of results. You can check it out by putting http://www.google.co.uk into the address. http://www.avvo.com/attorneys/93406-ca-rudolph-kraft-295890.html http://law.justia.com/cases/california/cal4th/8/746.html
  23. Indeed http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?51274-Scaling-down-spend&p=2015328#post2015328
  24. 12th and FA Cup quarter finals
  25. At year end after board approval. Thats different to pocketing whatever cash she feels like when it comes in - which is what some are suggesting has happended.
