To be fair we were fucked a bit by having to spend 40 odd million or whatever it was to sign two of our loanees. That’s a big chunk of the budget spent just to stand still. Everything after that was just wasted money signing shit players on the cheap.

I think he benefited massively from having Doku on the other wing, who is much better than him, and it freed up some space for him to look better than he really was. Annoyingly we were linked with Doku first.

They’d have gone down regardless of the deduction, it’s nearly March and they have accumulated 11 points. If anything their deduction hasn’t been a punishment at all…we had a similar situation in 2009 and we were forced to take the points deduction the following season unless we stayed up. I’m not sure Wednesday will suffer the same fate.
