We’ve reached the stage now where the “you’re obsessed” crowd are just as obsessed and have to reply to nearly every post to reiterate their point. Impressive.
-
Probably the only time at an away game I’ve ever been happy that the stewards were trying to get everyone to sit down. It was Hatton vs Pacquiao the night before and I was very hungover.
-
Half of these players will be off in the summer anyway. Who fucking wants them to stay??
-
Unless he’s going to start going round two footing everyone in training I’m not really sure what more damage can be done? We aren’t staying up no matter what, give the job to guardiola for the rest of the season it makes no difference.

The start of the process was selling Lallana, Lambert, Shaw and Lovren in one season. Granted we got lucky for a couple of seasons and picked up some gems (who we also later sold) but season by season the replacements got worse and worse until we’re left with a squad that is flirting with relegation year after year until our luck finally ran out.
-
Any chance we can just forfeit this one?
-
It goes back further than that. Selling our best players to help strengthen our rivals and replacing them with cheap alternatives will eventually lead to the situation we are in.
-
We’re probably the only team that couldn’t beat us.
-
We won’t win a single game until we’re officially relegated when they’ll suddenly remember how to play football.
-
Not going to miss VAR either
-
Does anyone think that? Surely most have learned their lesson the last time we said that? In fact does anybody even WANT that? I don’t really want to be back in this league any time soon.
-
Yep. Catastrophic mismanagement has pissed Marcus’ legacy down the drain.
-
He should watch us more often then, because nobody else is surprised.

Almost like it’s the players just as much (if not more) as the manager. We’ve had 3 this season and not much has changed. Turgid football served up week after week. In a season with effectively 2 pre seasons it’s criminal.

This team is the worst we have ever had.
-
Could have said that about 8 times this season.
-
Stu, Adams and Sulemana on. Do it and do it now you cunt.
-
The 04/05 squad had a lot more fight than this one, it just lacked any quality in defence.
-
It’s too little too late to fucking drop him now.

Not sacking Ralph at the end of last season has to rank above all other reasons for me. If a manager has (by the clubs own admission) lost the dressing room then keeping him in the job until the World Cup was a catastrophic decision. Closely followed by the baffling decision to replace him with Nathan Jones when you knew the dressing room was already demoralised, it makes no sense whatsoever. The whole 5 at the back experiments with both managers were terrible. I think the lack of goals and not signing a goal scorer has been a major factor but it would have only prolonged the inevitable when it came to Ralph being sacked. We may have picked up a few better results along the way but ultimately he was on borrowed time from May onwards. I still think we’d be flirting with relegation regardless.

We scored 45 goals that season. Before Friday night we’d only scored 24 this season.
